Human Again (FMA: Alphonse Elric X Reader)

Chapter Two

Alphone's POV:

Nobody knows how great it was to see (Y/N)! Oh and Winry! We all 4 had an awesome time catching up with each other! I can't remember the last time I was this happy! After hours of talking and laughing, it was time to go to bed. It was so great for me to finally be able to go to sleep! No more of me being alone at night. It was just great to have my body back! Anyway, Ed and I shared a room with two beds. Brother fell asleep right away, and I on the other hand, could not sleep. I guess I was so used to staying up all night... I check the time on my watch. 11:36 P.M. I quietly got up from my bed and exit the room, making sure to not wake up Ed, luckily I didn't. I made my way down the stairs. I notice that a lamp was on so, I assume that someone was up. I look in the living room and see (Y/N) sitting on the couch reading a book. She noticed me and smiled.

"Oh hey Al. Can't sleep?" She said. I made my way to the couch to sit by her.

"Yeah, just not really tired." I said. She put her book down and stretched her arms.

"Same. Thankfully you're here I was getting bored before." She said with a smile. I stared into her (e/c) eyes for a couple moments. Mesmerized by them. She gave me a funny look. "Why're you staring at me like that?" She said with a giggle.

"It's just that I missed you..." I whispered. She shyly looked away.

"We've been through this, I missed you too... Plus I'm probably not the only person you've missed." She said. I sighed.

"True but, I probably missed you the most..." I said in a quite voice. I felt heat rush to my cheeks. I guess I was blushing. It was good to finally feel my face blush...

(Y/N)'s POV:

"True but, I probably missed you the most..." I hear him say. After he said that sentence, my heart skipped a beat. I feel my face turn red. Damn, guess my feelings for this guy haven't changed... It's been a year, I bet he doesn't even think of me in that way. But why is he saying these things to me...? When Ed and him were telling me about their journey after I left, they met a girl named May Chang, who, to my understanding, had a crush on Al. I assume he returned her feelings....

"Well, I'm pretty sure you missed your body a lot more than me..." I said looking away.

"(Y/N), I missed everything about being human and that includes you..." His voice trailed off. I glanced at him, I tilted my head.

"What do you mean...?" I asked.

"Since I'm now human..." He said. I feel his hand grab mine. I look down at his hand touching mine. "I can finally feel your touch..." I feel his other hand lift up my chin so I was staring in his gold-ish eyes. He pushed a piece of (h/c) hair out of my face. "I can actual see you through my real eyes..." My heart beats a mile a minute.

"Al..." I murmured.

"I really feel human now... But, even when I was just a soul in suit of armor, you made me feel human..." He said.

"Why is that...?" I asked. His face inched closer to mine. I was feeling shy, so I inched back a little....

"Because, I-" Al was interrupted by light filling the room. I look around and see Winry with a giant smile on her face. Al and I immediately moved away from each other.

"Oh my god, that was so so soooo cute!!! Al finish what you were going to say!" She excitedly said. Al rolled his eyes.

"No, never mind... Moment ruined..." He mumbled. I give Winry a dirty look.

"What? I'm sorry I couldn't resist! You guys should just date already!" She said with a quiet girly squeal. I rolled me eyes again.

"Yeah, how about no..." I said with the look of embarrassment on my face. I glance at Al who looked kinda hurt after me saying that... I didn't mean too really say that...

"Well, I'm gonna go to bed, see you guys tomorrow..." He said in a sad one. He gave me a small smile and walked away.

"Oh? I'm sorry (Y/N) didn't mean for that to happen." She said sitting down by me. I shrugged.

"Why are you apologizing? You really didn't do anything but you did eavesdropped..." I mumbled a little annoyed with her at this moment.

"Well I kinda interrupted him confessing to you." She said.

"He wasn't going to confess to me.... Don't be stupid" I mumbled crossing my arms.

"Um yeah he was." She said crossing her arms too.

"No." I argued.

"Yes"

"No."

"YES!" She yelled louder.

"NOOO! No, he wasn't okay?! He probably was just gonna tell how much he missed me or some other lie...!" I half shouted. Winry rolled her eyes.

"Okay, think that than. By the way, he truly cares about you and that's not a lie..." She said before walking away. Okay whatever. I put my legs on the couch. I reach over and turned off the light. I closed my eyes and went to sleep. Trying to make myself forget about these confusing feelings I have.
