Human Again (FMA: Alphonse Elric X Reader)

Chapter 5

Y/N's POV:

My (e/c) eyes slowly fluttered opened. I got up and stretched my arms as I yawned loudly. I glanced at the calendar the was hanging on my wall. On today's date was bolded writing that stated "Roy Mustangs Birthday!" My eyes widened.

"Dammit! I forgot his birthday!" I said to myself, getting out of my bed. I quickly slipped out of my pjs and put on a pretty (f/c) top with a black miniskirt and black shoes. I quickly brushed my (h/l) (h/c) hair and kept it natural along with my makeup. I remember Mustang said he was going to have a little get together for his birthday; he said I can bring someone... I wonder who I should ask? Stupid question, obviously I'm going to ask Al! I race downstairs and find Alphonse, Edward, and Winry. They were all in the kitchen drinking coffee. Al noticed me and smiled.

"Hey (Nickname). Why are you dressed up?" He asked, eyeing me a little causing me to slightly blush.

"Oh, um, well, it's Roy's birthday and he's having a little party thing so I'm gonna have to go to Central." I explained.

"Hm, glad I don't have to deal with the Colonel Bastard anymore..." Ed mumbled crossing his arms.

"Well, tell him I said happy birthday..." Winry said with a small smile. I nodded.

"Anyway, Al..." I said looking back at him. "I was um, wondering if you'd like to go with me to the party..." I asked blushed only because if felt like I was asking him out...

"Awe, (Y/N)'s asking Al out on a date!" Winry sang giving me a wink. I rolled my eyes as my blushed increased.

"It's not a date..." I mumbled, shooting her a dirty look.

"I'd love to go with you (Y/N)." I hear Alphonse speak up. I look at him and smiled.

"Okay, great." I said with a big smile.

"Mind waiting for me for a little bit? I need to change and get ready." He asked. I nodded. He then quickly got up from his seat and headed upstairs. I took his seat and let out a sigh. Well that went better then expected... I glanced at Ed and Win who were grinning at me.

"Can I help you guys with something?" I asked rolling my eyes.

"So you and Al huh?" Ed asked with a smirk. I let out a sigh of annoyance.

"For the last time, this isn't a date!" I shout.

"Calm down, we're only teasing (Y/N)." Winry said. Time for me to tease now....

"Soooo... Did you guys have someone fun last night." I asked with a smirk, remembering the events that took place last evening. Instantly Ed and Winry's faces turn beet red.

"Ummm...." They both said. I giggled. During this funny conversation, Al had returned. Damn, he looked good. He was wearing a (f/c) flannel and a pair of dark jeans. Even though it was casual, he still looked nice.

"Ready to go?" He asked. I stood up and walked over by him, smelling cologne.

"Yeah I am. Bye guys." I said waving to Winry and Ed. They waved too, their blushes still on their faces. Then, Al and I exited the house and headed to the train station. Wonder if they'll do "it" again since we'll be gone....... Yuck...

*TimeSkip*

We eventually made it to the train station. We got on the train, Al sat right in front of me. I still smelt that good cologne. I look out of the window. We haven't departed yet so we were just quietly waiting there.

"Oh my gosh! Hello Alphonse!" Shouted a high pitched girly voice. I glance over and see a girl about my age with long black hair put in braids. She also had this small panda creature on her shoulder.

"Hello May! It's good to see you." Al said standing up to give the girl a hug. I remember Al and Ed talking about May before. She helped get Al's body back... Everyone did really... Except me...

"(Y/N), this is May. I believed I mention her to you before." Al stated letting go of her but she still had her arms around him.

"Yeah, you did..." I mumbled. I felt envious for whatever reason. She was only was hugging him...

"Oh, is this your girlfriend...?" May asked worriedly. I slightly blushed, along with Al.

"Um, no she's not...." Al mumbled. A small smile appeared on May's face.

"Oh I see..." She said eyeing Alphonse. I rolled my eyes. The trains whistle blew loudly. "It's a shame, I have to get going off this stop!" She exclaimed. Thank god....

"Oh, well it was great to see you!" Al said with a smile. I admire how kind he always is... May hugged him again and before letting him go, she gave him a small peck on the lips...

"Bye Alphonse!" She said running away off the train. More jealousy fled over me... Al's face was as red as a tomato....

"Um...." Al mumbled, taking a seat back in front of me. I just stare blankly at him.

"O-okay then..." I said, glancing out the window noticing that we were departing....

"So, that was May, huh?" I asked crossing my arms.

"Yup." He simply replied.

"Does she have a major crush on you or something...?" I asked. Even saying that makes me even more jealous.

"Um, yeah, I guess you could say that...." He said looking out the window with a shrug.

"Do you have a crush on her?" I curiously asked with a fake smile on my face. Needed to act like I'm not the lease bit angry and jealous!

"No, no, no. I don't. I feel bad though. I don't want to hurt her ya know?" He said with a sad tone in his voice.

"I understand..." I said.

"Plus, I have my mind on someone else...." He said looking out the window with a blush.

"I do too..." I replied.... I'm have my mind on you Alphonse... But, I don't know if you feel the same why. I'm too scared to tell you... A big yawn escaped my mouth.

"Tired?" He asked. I nodded. Without thinking, I went to the same seat he was on. We were sitting close, maybe a little to close but neither of us mind. I slowly rested my head on his shoulder. His hand found it's way to mine. Our fingers intertwined as I got more comfy. A crimson blush was spread across my face but I just let the situation happen. Slowly, I closed my eyes.

"Wake me up when we're almost there, k?" I asked in a sleepy voice.

"Sure thing (Nickname)." He said gently. I then very quickly drifted off to sleep....

*Mini TimeSkip*

I woke up to someone lightly poking my face. My eyes flutter open and I see Alphonse looking down at me.

"Hey (Y/N), we're almost to Central." He said with a smile. I smiled back. I lifted my head off of his shoulder, our hands still locked together. Just on cue, the train came to a complete stop as the whistle blowed. We both stood up, hand in hand.

"Let's hope this will be fun..." I mumbled.

"Yeah. Even if it isn't, I know I'll have a good time." Alphonse stated as we got off the train.

"Why is that?" I questioned. He gave my hand a light squeeze.

"Because, I'll be spending time with you..." He quietly said with a small blush on his cheeks. I just shyly look down, a smile and a even bigger blush on my face.

"We should get going..." I quietly say as we headed to Central Headquarters.
