once again, memories written in italics.

The river reflected the colours of the sky and the form of the spruces around it. The bridge of the two lovers that had once been neat and clean was now decorating the view with it's washed-up presence and several plants that carelessly hung from it's guard rails. Some parts of the bridge were left alone, as if it was a reminder of what it had once been.

"Dream, it's so- beautiful"
George sighed, allowing himself to sink further into his boyfriend's warm chest.
"You're just pointing out the obvious"
George felt secure right here, right now, in Dream's arms, sitting on the fresh wood. How was he supposed to not with the warmth he always craved for, the increased heartbeat in his ears, the love surrounding both of them?
Dream gently kissed George's scalp, leaving both smiling harder than before.

George ran his fingers against the wooden planks, barely touching them. He enjoyed the texture of the old wood. Sapnap just walked behind George, looking out for him, just in case the blanks under him were to break, tossing the king to the end of his pathetically depressing life.

George continued walking until he stopped to look at something on top of the guard railings.

Dream had made carving his initial on the wood with a recently sharpened pocket knife look as easy as a piece of cake, but turns out it wasn't near that easy. George was struggling on keeping the knife in his hand as steady as possible. He wasn't sure if this just wasn't one of his many talents, or was the letter G somehow harder of a shape to carve on wood than D. Either way, a couple of small cuts and annoyed huffs later he had succeeded on making a decent letter next to a small heart.

Time, of course, had left it's marking on the letters. They were faded and overall in bad shape nowadays, George wishes that he could carve them again with the company of his husband some day.

A few tears left his eyes as he kept staring at the letters.
"Oh, George"
Sapnap placed his hand on George's shoulder as a sign of understandment and sympathy.

George was curled into a ball next to the crackling campfire nearly ten meters from the bridge. All the comfort the sleeping bag had to offer wasn't anywhere near filling his needs. Even XD was God knows where, which for a fact wasn't helping the situation by any matters. The god visiting constantly, giving him tons of gifts from foods to minerals and  ruining him with a dozens of prizes that led to him feeling like he was perfect from head to toe had became his thing now, so it unarguably was unusual for him to disappear like that for weeks.

When exhausted George fell asleep on the mossy ground of the forest, XD found him. Ever since then he hasn't been left alone for more than 24 hours. At some point of the day the god would show up out of nowhere.

What the god is doing must be important.

he gazed over to Sapnap who was sleeping soundly in his purple sleeping bag.
