Scene #1 Episode #9

One hour later

A nurse came out of the ER.

Nurse:
"Griffin Phoenix? Is there a Griffin Phoenix here?"

Damon stood up and walked over to her

Damon:
"That would be me. And it's just Griffin."

Nurse:
"She's fine now, she's regained consciousness and is ready for visitors."

His face lit up, he rushed into the room, when he saw her in the hospital bed, it just hit him how hard it is to see her like that.

Damon:
"Alex."

She had a bandage wrap on her stomach

Alexandra:
"D-Damon?"

He pulled up a chair next to her

Damon:
"I'm so happy you're awake."

Alexandra:
"I was shot...they know I'd have to go to a hospital-

Damon:
"It's ok-

Alexandra:
They're coming!"

Damon:
"It's ok. It's ok."

He held her hand

Damon:
"It's ok Alex."

A man stepped in the room

Guy:
"Hello. I'm Dr. Ross."

Damon:
"Hi-

Doctor Ross:
"How are you hun?"

Alexandra:
"Fine."

Damon:
"Are you the doctor who operated on her?"

Doctor Ross:
"No, that was Doctor Cohen. He had to step out for a family emergency."

Alexandra:
"Oh, when do you think he'd be back? It would be great if I could thank him."

Doctor Ross:
"Maybe next week? I don't know, he sent me to check on you."

Alexandra:
"Oh..."

Doctor Ross:
"Well don't sound so excited."
He said sarcastically

Alexandra:
"I was just hoping to thank him, that's all."

Doctor Ross:
"So there's a few things you have to know. Even if your skin wound heals, you might get an infection. And we will have to file a police case-

Alexandra:
"What?"

Doctor Ross:
"They're on their way right now."

Damon:
"No no, sir. You don't understand. No one can know we were here."

Doctor Ross:
"Who's he?"

Alexandra:
"He's my-

Damon:
"Husband. I'm her husband."

Damon took her hand and held it tightly

Doctor Ross:
"The file you had placed said she's seventeen."

Damon:
"So?"

Doctor Ross:
"Well it's illegal to get married before seventeen."

Damon:
"So?"

Doctor Ross:
"So you're nineteen."

Damon:
"So?"

Doctor Ross:
"So it seems you have a lot to discuss with the cops."

Damon:
"Do you know who I am?"

Doctor Ross:
"I don't care if you're even King Revanche's kid or anyone's kid. The police are still on their way."
