Scene #1 Episode #11
Damon:
"Let me get this clear, you want Alex and I...to share our only blanket?"
Barbra nodded
Alexandra:
"Mom...can I talk to you?"
Barbara:
"Sure sweetie."
They walked away from Damon
Alexandra:
"Mom, what are you doing?"
Barbara:
"N-nothing, w-why do you think I'm d-doing something?"
Alexandra:
"Why are you stammering?"
Barbara:
"Fine. I want you and Damon to have some alone time."
Alexandra:
"Wha- ok, no mom does this. This is not normal! And why do you think Damon and I need alone time?"
Barbara:
"Oh come on. Damon is young and handsome-
Alexandra:
"And my best friend. Stop trying to play matchmaker."
Barbara:
"He's a good guy and he'll take good care of you. What does he lack?"
Alexandra:
"Nothing, ok? He lacks nothing."
Barbara:
"Then what's the problem? Does he hit you? Just one sec, I'll teach him a lesson."
Barbara tried to go but Alexandra pulled her back
Alexandra:
"He doesn't hit me."
Barbara:
"Does he drink?"
Alexandra:
"He's nineteen."
Barbara:
"Does he smoke?"
Alexandra:
"He's nineteen!"
Barbara:
"Then what's wrong with liking him? And his name is so nice. Griffin Phoenix Dalton. Arya Bonnie Dalton has a nice kick to it."
Alexandra:
"You really think I'll take the last name of the son of the man trying to destroy me?"
Barbara:
"But why won't you give him a shot?"
Alexandra:
"Because he's Damon. My best friend since I was five."
Barbara:
"Marrying your best friend reduces the chance of divorce by over seventy percent."
Alexandra:
"Wha- marriage? I'm seventeen.."
Barbara:
"Just one more year to go and it's legal."
Alexandra:
"I don't like Damon, nor will I ever marry him. So please, get these thoughts out of your brain and leave it alone."
Barbara:
"That's beyond my capability."
Alexandra:
"Promise me you won't talk to him about this matchmaker stuff."
Barbara:
"I can't promise that."
Alexandra:
"Why are you trying to get us together?"
Barbara:
"I've said all I can say."
Damon:
"Alex?"
Alexandra:
"Damon run!"
Barbara ran to Damon
Barbara:
"And what a good choice Alex. He is handsome, kind, sweet, thoughtful and he's definitely the best looking son-in-law. Cute and handsome son-in-law he is."
Damon was basking in this praise
Alexandra:
"Mom. Now this is too much."
Barbara:
"You won't be saying that when you're married."
