I worked hard and hard for the next few days and it was finally the day of the audition.
I waited in line patiently, feeling happy and nervous.
Crystal stood by me, cause she was the only outsider or family I had here. My parents had shifted to the States cause that’s where we are originally from.
“What if I mess up? What if my voice cracks? Or worse what if they cancel me just by seeing me??” I asked nervously.
“Yui!! Relax!! Stop overthinking!! You always do that! Stop doing that! You know you’ll do well!! Calm down!!” she reassured me.
I calmed down and waited for my name to be called.
‘Wow! Can’t believe that I’m auditioning for Hybe Labels!’ I thought to myself and chuckled.
Everyone had finished auditioning and I was the last one.
I went and introduced myself.
“Hello! I’m Kim Yui, and I’m born in 2004!” I said bowing my head.
“You’re the Kim Yui right? The all-rounder?” one of them asked and I nodded.
I was known by that name pretty much everywhere!
“Well great! We’ve been looking for you! Come with us and also call your stylist too!” they said and got up.
Me and Crystal followed them out and got inside a practice room.
‘Wow Hybe sure is big!’ I thought and looked around.
“Please wait here! I’ll get the boys and the manager!” he said and left.
“What’s happening!!?” I asked and looked around.
“I have no idea! Let’s just hope for the best!” Crystal said trying to stay positive.
The guy came in again, “Sorry I had to keep you waiting! Meet the boys!!” he said and 6 boys walked in.
“Sunghoon hyung still isn’t here!” one of the boys said.
They were talking something when, “Yuiii!! That’s ENHYPEN!!” Crystal whispered in my ears.
“What??” I asked and she nodded.
‘Woahh!’ I just stood there amazed cause I really liked their songs and dance and everything about them.
“Let’s just do this without him! He’s running late!!” the man said and the 6 boys stood together.
“1, 2 Connect! Hello we are ENHYPEN!”
“Hi I’m Jungwon!” he said and smiled
“Hello I’m Heeseung!” he bowed
“I’m Jay!” he said rather coldly than the first two.
“Hello! I’m Jake! Nice to meet you!” he said happily.
“Hi Hi! I’m Sunoo!” he said and smiled so brightly that it reminded me of the sun.
“Hello! I’m Ni-Ki!” the last one said and bowed.
“Yui! Introduce yourself!!” Crystal nudged me as I was day-dreaming.
“Ahh right!” I said feeling embarrassed.
“Hello! I’m Kim Yui and I’m a 2004 liner! Nice to meet you all!!” I said and did a 90 degree bow to show respect.
They bowed too when, “I’M HERE!! I’M SORRY I’M LATE!!” a voice came screaming and I gasped.
