It was Jay...
I didn’t know what to say or ask but I still did, “Hi! What’s up?” I asked trying to sound nice and casual.
“How can you lie so much with such a straight face!!?” he yelled and I flinched.
The members came out hearing his loud voice.
“What do you mean? I don’t understand!” I asked genuinely confused.
“You said you don’t have a boyfriend, but I overhear you saying ‘I love you’ on the call, you denied that then now I saw you hugging a guy in a cap and you still act like you have no freaking boyfriend!!” he yelled and Sunghoon stepped in.
“Jay-ah! That’s enough!” he said and Jay turned to him.
“You’re gonna just let this girl ruin our reputation and group! We worked very hard and she’ll never understand the importance of hard-work! She got in without doing even the slightest minimum!” Jay spoke out the harsh facts.
“You!!!” he yelled facing me again.
I had tears in my eyes already but I just looked down.
“If anything happens to OUR group, YOU are the cause of it! Don’t forget you’re an outsider and outsiders aren’t always welcome!” he said and went to his room slamming the door.
There was silence... Something which I hated.
Memories flashed in my head, it all feels like yesterday when I was crying by the school gates.
Someone touched my shoulder and I flinched and that’s when I started crying.
“I’m sorry!” Jake said not realizing that I was crying.
“No don’t cry!!” Sunoo said and the boys were all quiet.
They didn’t know what to say.
“I’m sorry!” I said and walked out again.
“Wait Yui!!” Heeseung called but I just ran out.
I couldn’t deal with anyone right now.
I ran to the only place I knew! Crystal’s home.
I knocked on the door and she opened it.
“Yui what the hell happened?” she asked pulling me in.
I just hugged her and cried.
“It’s alright! I’m here now!” she said trying to comfort me.
I explained everything that happened and she just hugged me.
“Sleep over tonight!” she said and I just nodded.
I walked to her balcony and sat there looking at the stars when my phone buzzed.
It was some unknown number.
I opened the text and saw...

Hey Noona! It’s me Ni-Ki. I just wanted to ask if you’re okay! And will you be staying out? I’m worried.

Uh hi! Yeah I’m staying over with Crystal! Sorry for all the trouble! I should go now, see you tomorrow!

I put off my phone and slept while staring at the sky...

“You said you’d leave her be!!” Ni-Ki screamed.
“This is something you’ll not understand!!” Jay said coldly.
“I’M NOT A KID!!” Ni-Ki yelled and stormed off.
“Why is he siding with that girl than OUR team!!” Jay said and rolled his eyes.
“She’s a member of our group too! And like we said before we never know what is happening in one’s life! Stop picking on her Jay! Just stop!” Heeseung said having enough of Jay’s behavior.
“Whatever! When something happens because of HER, don’t blame ME!!” he said and walked into his room.
“Um!” Jake started unsure.
“What’s wrong?” Sunghoon asked.
“Did anyone notice how she flinched when I touched her shoulder?” he said and everyone was silent.
They all noticed it but were scared to admit it.
“Well???” Jake asked again and the boys just nodded their heads.
“It could be because she was surprised!” Jungwon said trying to be logical.
“Or it could have been that something like this happened to her before too!!” Jake said talking about the scene which took place not too long back.
“I’m going to bed!” Sunoo said not liking the tension in the air and walked to his room.
The boys soon went to their rooms and only Heeseung stayed up sitting in the balcony gazing at the stars.
“If only they knew about her like I did!” he whispered and dozed off…
