• Akaza and Final selection •

y/n's POV

It had been 3 days since Kokushibo-san had given me a really important piece of information, and i was still shocked.

Why me of all people? There are so many other demon slayers, why me? I just wanna live my life normally, slay demons and greet death if it comes or else die of old age after having a family. I don't wanna saty alive forver and eat humans. I mean normal food is wayyyyyy better.

For example take f/f, it's taste is just marvellous. I would eat it everyday if I could, but if I did then I would start hating it, so i eat it one two weeks.

"y/n-chan! y/n-chan! y/n-chan!!!!!!"

I could hear Douma-san calling me, i turned around to see not only him but a demon with bright pink hair, with black lines all over him. I looked at his eyes which had the letters "Upper moon 3".

"What were you wondering about y/n-chan, you seemed pretty lost, i was calling your name for about 2 minutes." Douma-san spoke up.

"Just about f/f, sorry." I apologized.

"No need to apologise, also this is Akaza-dono, Kokushibo-dono asked has asked him to train with you."

"Hello, I'm y/n, nice to meet you Akaza-san."

"Nice to meet you too y/n."

"Now that introductions are done both of start fighting, I'll be supervising, don't kill each other." Douma-san stated and with that we both started duelling.

"Moon breathing, third form: Loathsome Moon, chains."

I swung my sword rapidly in two gigantic crecent slashes, being able to cut of his arm, which immediately regenerated.

"Blood demon art: destructive death"

I could see blue shockwaves in the form of cannon shaped spikes.

The training continued for about 3 hours and both of were exhausted, Akaza-san was a really strong opponent, i had never faced Kokushibo-san or Douma-san who were upper moons 1 and 2, but Akaza-san was definitely stronger than Daki-san who I always dueled.

Today was the day of the final selection, i was really nervous yet excited, cause from what I had heard the people who pass the selection get a pet crow, and u had already decided the name for it.

I soon had arrived near the location where the final selection was gonna be held. It was sorrounded by wisteria flowers, which looked really beautiful.

And after 5 to 6 minutes the final selection had started.

I had survived all seven days of the final selection, i constantly had to kill demons without any rest so I was really tired.

I looked around to see only me alone, from what i remember it was over 20 of us who started.

Soon the two children who had told us the rules and ranks had come. They had told me about the Kasugai crow which i was really excited about and then they told me to pick an ore.

I picked the second smallest one and then they told me that I could start going on missions after my katana arrives which would take about 15 days.

I bowed, said thank you and left the mountain.

I started heading towards my house when I remembered what Kokushibo-san had said, and i turned to another direction to find a house to stay in.

While walking on the way to a city I decided to name the crow Hinata cause i really like the name.

I'm so sorry if this chapter isn't good, i can't really write fight scenes, But next time onwards I'll try to.

Also I chose the name Hinata while referring to the one from Naruto, you can take it as anyone (like Haikyuu or Tokyo Revengers)
