Lucas and Jungwoo are both watching in awe at the fireworks display right in front of their now shared apartment. 

Both not drinking anything after what happened on Christmas, cuz they both had an awful head ache the day after, obviously not knowing what happened the night before but meh it's just us who knows about it ;)

"We should've video called with Mark." Lucas whined.

"It's still not New Year in Canada silly." Jungwoo rolled his eyes playfully and snickered at the younger who's pouting. "And besides, I think Donghyuck beat us up to it already." Jungwoo giggles as he thinks about the time Mark informed them that he's courting the freshman. 

Lucas hummed and nodded his head in agreement. Then a long silence was set between them, not the awkward silence though, it's something comfortable for the both of them. 

"Do you plan on being single this year?" Lucas looked at the older who's just looking at the display straight ahead.

Damn, Jungwoo couldn't thank Doyoung enough for finding him this apartment. 

On the other hand, Lucas was damn thankful for having Jungwoo as a part of another year in his life. 

"I don't actually," Jungwoo answered honestly. "I want to actually be in a relationship cuz I can't stand how Mark is younger than me but already has his love of his life!" Jungwoo said in annoyance and making hand gestures that he's clearly annoyed. 

Lucas just chuckled. Then there was silence between the both of them once again. Jungwoo was about to ask the younger the same question but the tall male beat him to it. "If you're about to ask me if I want to be with someone this year," Lucas smiled and looked at Jungwoo, "I'd answer the same as yours." Lucas chuckled and Jungwoo just hummed and nodded. 

"Do you really have to go though?" Jungwoo asks as he mumbles each word slowly and sadly. 

Lucas smiled sadly and just looked everywhere aside from the two eyes of the older sadly looking at him but at the same time is admiring the facial features of the tall male beside him.

"You're leaving later right?" Jungwoo asks after a whole minute of staring at the male beside him.

Lucas shifted his eyes to the white haired boy and just nodded. 

Jungwoo sighed deeply which made Lucas look at him weirdly. "Why are you so sad? C'mon it's New Year man!" 

And just with that Jungwoo released an airy chuckle and closed his eyes, attempting to stretch from his spot. "It's cuz I don't have someone to spend the holiday with! And no one to annoy me from time to time." Jungwoo mumbled the last part without looking at Xuxi's eyes. 

"Hey! You can always annoy Doyoung." Lucas slapped the slightly shorter male's arm while showing his wide grin. "And besides, I'll be back next week." Lucas giggled but it made Jungwoo pout.

"Are you sure you don't want me to accompany you to the airport?" 

Lucas shook his head, "No need. Go rest, and I believe you have a project to do tomorrow?" Lucas shot the older a teasing look and laughed even harder when Jungwoo slapped his arm real hard.

"Shut up! Ugh, I still don't know what the fuck went through my mind when I agreed to that project." Jungwoo was now mumbling every curse word he knows and Lucas was just laughing at every word the white haired says. 

"Be back next week. 'kay?! Promise me Wong." Jungwoo pointed his finger at Xuxi with a threatening glare. 

Lucas smiled widely before bringing up his pinky finger. "I promise." Jungwoo gave him a glare before accepting the pinky finger Lucas brought up. Lucas smiled even wider after the exchange of "promises". 

They stayed at that spot in silence with a smile plastered on their faces, embracing the silence and comfort they share unintentionally with each other while admiring the night city sky of Seoul on a New Year. 

"Xuxi." Jungwoo called out softly, it almost made Lucas' heart coo. yeah, "almost". 

"Yeah?" Lucas answered, now shifting his gaze towards the older. 

Jungwoo felt Lucas' stare resulting him to look at the other's eyes as well. 

"I.."

I like you.

"I'll miss you." 

Lucas smiled and ruffled Jungwoo's hair.

"I.."

I like you too.

"I'll miss you too."
