"Jeon, I swear to god, stop it-"
Jungkook had roughly shoved his hands under your shirt, grinning at you from above, your back forced against the rusty railing of some balcony you had ended up on.
"Don't get shy on me now, nerd." His rough hands explored further, your skin tickling where his fingers touched, leaving a burning trail that you were hyper aware of. Apparently he was very excited to have you back after only a day.
"I'm not shy, that's not why!"
"Oh? So, what's the problem?" He leaned down to bury his face in your neck, your back bent over the metal railing, good ten meters of nothing beneath your eyes.
"We're... outside..." You were well aware of how lame of an excuse that was.
The idiot chuckled into your skin, making a wildfire of goosebumps erupt where his breath hit you, "Who's gonna see us? Prowlers? Yeah, I'm sure these sick voyeurs are so gonna get off from that."
"Damn," You punched his side, "We're extra fun today, aren't we?"
Finally, he lifted his head to properly look at you, looking positively flushed with his red cheeks and dilated pupils, a smile that seemed not to know wether it should be amused or confused tugging on his lips, "And you're being cranky, what issit? Yer still shaken 'cause of that Hide guy?"
It was a little strange to you, that Jungkook insisted on calling the prowler's puppet its name, as if he'd ever had a real conversation with him, but right now you didn't want to get too stuck on that topic, "No... it's not really that." While talking, you slowly detached his hands from your sides, straightening up as to not hang halfway over the abyss.
"No?"
"You know, while I was unconscious, I had like... a dream, I think."
"A dream?" He parroted, fingers playing with the hem of your shirt while listening.
"But I don't think it was an ordinary one, like... it felt too real and I think dream-you wanted to tell me something-"
"-ohohoh so you dreamed of me-"
"-shut up, what I wanna say is I think my dream was somehow influenced by the prowler. As if it wanted to keep me asleep with it."
"Why would any dream help keeping you asleep?"
"Well..." You dragged, unsure of how to word this, "-the dream was kind of-"
"-dirty?-"
"-No. (I mean yes, but that wasn't the point), it was like... I think it was supposed to be what I want my life to look like. In the dream, you picked me up from my parents' home to go- to go on a date."
"O-oh." His hands retrieved.
"We did normal shit like eating ice cream or watching movies."
It broke your heart, seeing this sudden, insecure look on his face, those big puppy eyes looking down at you as if he'd hurt you, as if he made mistake, "I-is that what you-? Because you know I can't, can't-"
"I know, Jungkook, don't be silly. Of course I'd like to lead a normal life and have a normal relationship with you, but that in my dream- it's not a question of "what would I change about my current situation" more a stupid "what if" question, because my parents aren't alive and ice-cream isn't a thing anymore, do you understand?"
"Not... really." He looked at you a little lost, anxious though he tried to hide it.
You hummed thoughtfully, before getting up on your tippy toes and placing a soft kiss on the corner of his lips, "I'm trying to say, I don't regret being here with you, but I also wish my parents wouldn't've died. I'll never be able to get back what I lost, but I also gained so many things. Sometimes I just... imagine what it would be like if I still had the things I lost, together with those I gained."
He looked at you for a really long while, reminding you of that one time you'd made very intense eye-contact with that disturbingly big fish in an aquarium you'd visited, before Jungkook just shook his head with a soft snort, "You think wayyyy too much, Chickie. Fuck, if I'd think that much my head would be omelette-ed by now." He ruffled your hair, grabbing you by the wrist to pull you back inside.
You let him, a little disappointed by his answer, "Do you not... I mean, do you not wish for things having gone different at some point?"
Jungkook halted, crooked grin on his face when he turned towards you, "The only time where I wish things would've gone differently is 24 years ago. Where's the point about thinking about shit like that? What happened jus'... happened. I don't have regrets."
"Even now? We barely have time for each other, doesn't that make you think back?"
He frowned confused, " What do you mean? We got allll the time of the world now and if we don't get to do certain stuff now, there's still tomorrow-" He punched your shoulder playfully, amicable glint in his eyes, "That's why I don't stress about thinks like that."
Wow, you really kept forgetting about how simple this guy's mind worked. What's done is done and if you don't get to do something today, do it tomorrow. That was... certainly a way to see things.
"You're an idiot."
"Shaddup moron, I'm older and wiser than you!"
"Whatever, grandpa."
"OI!"

"I wanted to talk with him about the dream inception thingy, but I guess he won't be of much help anyways."
The girl talked to herself while climbing down the stairs, a bag filled with Jungkook's blood-drenched clothes from earlier that night dangling down her elbow, "To be fair, it's also my fault for getting so off-topic." She sighed to no one particular, "What I want my life to look like." She scoffed bitterly, "I'm such an idiot, of course he'd get hurt if I word it like that." The girl heaved the bag into an old, mud splattered trash-bin, not wanting to unnecessarily litter when nature just started to recover, "He already thinks I'm miserable with him or something." A frustrated kick against the poor bin, "I'm not."
She looked tired- even though she'd spent the entire past day asleep in some prowler's basement- dark bags under her eyes as she sluggishly disposed of the dirty clothes.
She kept on mumbling to herself, a habit she'd actually acquired in her early days of wandering around by herself, after her childhood home had been destroyed.
A shuffling somewhere in the dark made her freeze immediately, woke eyes staring at where the sound came from.
Caught, a man stepped out from behind a car wreck, hands lifted up placatorily, in hopes of making her lower her guard- and her knife.
"Calm down, missy. I'm not here for you."
"The fuck you want?"
"I came for the gentleman you're traveling with."
