I was really growing tired of this constant-getting-abducted, you have no idea how tired.
I mean, what idiot author uses kidnapping twice in a row??
In Korea, at least, it had been Jungkook who got taken away - even if it was, in his case, to get eaten - so what was it with Japan and me getting kidnapped? Maybe Yokohama is just sexist, I don't know.
Well, moving on. When I came to, the first thing I noticed was that my hands were tied - again. But this time I didn't seem to be tied to a chair, but lying down, head pillowed onto something soft and warm.
Upon opening my eyes, with great effort, I realized that said soft and warm thing was somebody's lap. Which was unexpected, to say the least.
Once my eyes had gotten used to the dim neon lamps above my head, I locked eyes with a blond angel who had gently rested my head on his lap, large, worried eyes scanning my face.
If it wasn't for the hammering pain in my head, I would've assumed I died and this was the afterlife.
"She's awake, I think." He declared, light voice leaving his lips like velvet, soothing to my thundering headache.
I soon realized we weren't alone - five more people scooted closer, curiously eyeing me. They all looked like typical apocalypse-survivors; dirty, ragged clothes with dark circles around their eyes and visibly strong, capable bodies that could either take on a Prowler or run real fast.
"Are you guys cannibals?" My headache-induced brain made sure to check from the start.
"What the- no?!" A flabbergasted woman spluttered, fingers reaching out for my forehead carefully, "Did they hit you that hard?"
A little reluctant, I heaved myself off the ground (and the cute guy's lap) now kneeling with my tied hands resting atop my legs. Pushing away the hammering behind my skull, I let my gaze wander around. We - around six people in total - were all scooped up in a small room that seemed to be underground, the only exit being a blue painted iron door. Everyone in here had their hands tied, sprawled out on the ground as if they've been in here for some while already.
"What happened?"
"That I'd like to know as well." That blond guy with the comfy lap snorted.
"We all got abducted when we had our guards down and woke up in here." A woman with short, black hair explained curtly.
"Probably has to do with the mafia here in Yokohama." Another guy added.
"The MAFIA?" I parroted a little befuddled.
"Yeah," Blondie dragged, "- organized crime, gangsters, do you not know what Mafia mean-"
"You're a really smart one aren't you." I cut him off dryly.
"I just want to go back to my wife." Yet another dude sighed, leaning back against the cold stone wall - gaining general agreement from the other victims.
"Well-" I started, reaching down to awkwardly grapple into my boot, trying to reach the knife that had felt heavy against my ankle ever since I woke up, "-don't worry." I fished out the knife, turning around to the blond guy, signalizing him to stick out his hands so I could cut the ties, "-I promise we'll get out of here in a blink."
"Wait, didn't they search you?" The woman who had spoken first gaped, watching me cut through the ropes.
"Did they search YOU?" I countered.
She closed her mouth. Obviously our abductors were real professionals.
"How will we get out of here tho?" Blond guy threw in once I had freed him from his ties.
