Chasing his past, Jeon Jungkook was naturally taken to this place. It seemed logical, to go to the Tanakas' mansion, when it was the Tanakas' golden child, Kwon Jiyong, he was looking for.
He was a bit reluctant about admitting it, but as Dino's biggest rival did Jungkook hold a sort of conditioned grudge against the Tanaka family. It's not like he'd ever understood the reason for Dino's quarrel with the Yakuza clan - he had obeyed commands and not asked questions - yet the mere thought of that Jiyong bastard filled his insides with disgust.
Said disgust wasn't helped when he climbed over the security gate of the high-end mansion, seeing the abundance of wealth displayed here. At least Dino had been somewhat humble in his lifestyle, unlike the Tanakas apparently.
The once probably well-groomed garden looked wild and abandoned, plants growing up the yellow stained house walls. Still, the neglect didn't do much in hiding the sheer luxury practically oozing from the entire estate - it was really off putting, seeing such a pompous palace in a world in which you had to shower with ice-cold water you accidentally found in some canister in the backroom of a broken down bowling alley.
Jungkook had never been comfortable around luxury (he didn't really deserve it), so seeing all this bullshit made him want to leave already. Not that he actually would, he'd taken way too long to get here in the first place.
He was mildly surprised to find the silly entrance portal open - Jiyong must've anticipated Jungkook's visit. Very interesting.
Was Jungkook worried about the very obvious trap? No.
He stepped into the house, finding himself in stark darkness, his echoing steps and the small slit of light falling trough the swiftly closing entrance telling him that he was in a superfluously large entrance hall - probably with one of those western style double stairs on each side.
Very untraditional, Tanaka.
His eyes quickly got used to the darkness though.
"Fancy meeting you here, Jeon." Kwon Jiyong announced dramatically, standing on top of - surprise - one of the two western styled stairs.
"Eh." Jungkook said vaguely, scratching his head, while climbing the stairs towards the blonde languidly. The bastard was wearing one of those fucking expensive fur coats again, Fendi sunglasses resting atop his bleached hair.
He looked so ridiculous, Jungkook wanted to punch him so fucking bad. But that was not what he came here for.
"Our patrons had their differences, we both know that - but that doesn't mean we have to keep this feud going between us, hm? We could build up a new empire, Jeon." Jungkook had kept that part from Y/N - that Jiyong had made him this goofy-as-fuck proposal. He was one smooth talker, that Jiyong bastard, that was for sure.
But Jungkook wasn't entirely stupid, he knew why the blond had said that. Kwon Jiyong was scared of him. He was scared that Jungkook had kept his grudge toward him through Dino and would now want to interfere with what he referred to as his new "empire" (a little egotistical if you asked Jungkook). He was so shitless scared of Jungkook and what he could possibly do, that he had gone lengths to take precautions against him - precautions that he hadn't needed to take in the first place.
Because Jungkook wasn't Dino.
"So, Jeon, have you thought about my proposal?"
___
Kwon Jiyong was a confident man -back in the days of the Tanaka family's reign they'd called him "The Dragon". That confidence had bled through into the apocalypse, so much that he'd been able to take over and re-build the Yakuza clan all by himself.
