An odd sensation pulled me out of my slumber; soft rustling and the scent of sleep and faint coffee clouding my head as soon as my drowsiness wore off.
It took me a moment to realize that I was laying in my bed. In my room.
My...room?
With gentle creaking, my door opened, Minnie stumbling in with a vicious grin, "Wake up, lazy fuck." - she threw an abandoned sock at me - "Your hubby came to pick you up."
"Hubby." I parroted sleepily, forcing myself out of the warm, cozy sheets.
"I can't believe you forgot him, idiot! Does your sister really have to remind you of your own dates??"
Dazed, I stared after her when she slammed the door shut behind, only catching a glimpse of her wagging ponytail before it went dark again.
"Have fun today, darling." Mom smiled at me, laughing lightly when I almost ran into the kitchen table once our eyes met. Waking that abruptly and having to go out right away didn't seem to be good for me.
"And tell your fling that he should never drive up our driveway again or I'll key his car." Dad added from the sofa, glaring at the closed door over the rim of his newspaper.
"It can't have been that bad." I mumbled lightly, picking up the scent of coffee and eggs stronger than ever while walking towards the entrance door.
I felt warm and sluggish, the walk outside was like an eternity.
"Oi, Chibi! Took you long enough!"
I understood why dad had been upset right away - Nirvana was playing on full blast, while Jungkook's head was hanging out the window of his dirty, black car which's model he'd probably explained to me a dozen of times, arm resting on top of the opened window. His long locks were lazily styled, if you could even call that styled, the upper two buttons of his flanell undone, revealing hints of a tanned, sturdy chest.
"What's up? You really trying to avoid your boyfriend that hard?" He gave you a crooked grin, playful spark in his eyes as he eyed you up and down, "Hurry up, silly."
A weird sensation overcame me when I saw him like that, making me approach the car slower than necessary.
Jungkook cocked his head to the side, "What's up, babe?"
"You look... good?"
"Aw, that's what got 'cha so confused? Or are you just getting nervous?" He reached out once I was close enough, pulling me down by the collar, "No need to be nervous, Chibi." He breathed, lips hovering over mine, "It's just me." He leaned in fully, sealing my lips with his in a warm, embracing kiss that made me feel like, yes, this was just him. Why was I acting like that?
"You're right, Kook." I pushed him away grinning, making him chuckle, "Let's go or Dad might set your car on fire."
He laughed out loud while I got in, the engine roaring alive as soon as I'd closed the door.
___
Jungkook was pissed. Deeply, thoroughly pissed. You could even say his mood was murderous.
How in hell did that happen? How in the fuck did she just disappear? When he was sleeping right fucking next to her?
Frustration crippled through his entire body as he flew past Yokohama's city ruins. Instead of admitting his raging fear of loosing her, he liked to channel these emotions into breaking bones or cracking skulls.
