One Love

Chapter 4

Grayson. That's who's standing right in front of me.. With a really sexy smile. "Grayson." I mumble and look down. Something about his presence made me nervous. Wait, maybe he makes me feel excited. Or maybe even.. God! I don't know! He makes me feel everything!

"Alli." He replied. And I really liked the way he said my name. Slow, husky, low and unbelievably sexy.. I felt my cheeks bring up a familiar heat.
"Can I help you?" I asked politely. My heart started pounding even more when he grinned.

"Possibly, what are you doing on Saturday night?" He asked. WHAT?! Did I hear that right? "W-what?" I asked, and I don't think my cheeks could of got any redder. He smirked.
"You heard me. Are you free on Saturday?" He said again casually. Chloe kicked me under the table. I winced.

"Um, no sorry. Girls night." I said, I mean that's why Chloe was kicking me.. Right? She kicked me again even harder. "No we don't! Alli remember we said next weekend?" She said emphasising the "Next". Okay, she definitely did not say that.

"Oh yeah, that's right.?" But I said it more like a question. Marie nodded from across the table.
Liam smiled, showing off his straight white teeth. "Cool, pick you up then." Just when he was just about to walk off, I cut him off. "uhh, Grayson? You don't know where I live.." I told him. He just shrugged. "We'll sort it out then, aye?" I nodded, and with one last smile he walked over to where he was sitting, which was right next to a kid I've never seen before. Apparently Grayson came here with a friend, maybe that's him.

"Oh my god." Marie and Chloe said art the exact same time.
"Grayson Maddox, the one that just befriended the whole entire football team just at lunch and is now sitting on their table, just asked out Alli Grey." Lachlan said casually. The whole lunch just went exactly like that, everyone on the table talking about what was supposed to be the most amazing thing ever.

I looked over at Grayson, who was doing one of those boy handshake things with one of the footballers, and was laughing. He then got a slap on the back by the captain, my brother Ethan. The star footballer of the school. Most of the time that's all we hear about at home. In fact Ethan took Seth's spot as the captain once Seth left. And Isaac was on the baseball team.

They both had a lot of girls onto them. Sometimes Ethan would come back with a girl and take her to his room when dad would be working nightshift. Sometimes even Isaac would. Isaac wasn't as much as a player of Ethan, but did play a bit. But I guess that was what some girls loved about them. I've only seen Isaac have a girl at home once or twice, but he told me he has an eye on another girl anyway.

I turned my attention back to my friends to find them still talking about Liam. Well mostly Marie and Chloe anyway, Lauchie and Jake were having their own conversation about C.O.D or something. I let out a sigh and silently prayed that the bell would go soon.

The end of the day went fast. I grabbed my bag out of my locker and got my phone. I walked along the halls of the school until someone ran into me from behind. I tumbled forward and dropped my phone. I spun around to see who had pushed me onto the ground. It was no one other then Meg Monte. Head cheerleader and the biggest slut and bitch In the whole school. She's bullied me since elementary school, and even now when there's less people around, it'll be physical. I'm not the only one that she bullies, but I'm the most hated on her list.

The thing is, I'm not one to back down, and I'd definitely fight back if she was the only one. But she's not. There's Sara, who's pretty with bright blond hair with dark blue eyes but so dumb, and there's Molly, who's also pretty with light brown hair and brown eyes, but not so dumb. Meg had pretty strawberry blond hair, and had light brown eyes.

"Go away Meg." I said bored, truth was, I really didn't care anymore.
"Hmm.." She said tapping her chin. "No." She said and her and Molly picked me up and shoved me to the locker. "We heard the new boy asked you out one night." Molly said. "Is that right?" She asked in a high pitched tone.

"Yeah. Can I go home now?" I asked bored again. I was getting real sick of this. Instead Meg whacked me in the stomach. "No!" She hissed. I whimpered in pain. "Hey!" Someone yelled. It was a he, and if he was yelling at me, I'd be scared. The voice was low and daring. Meg and Molly dropped me and started running.

Molly turned around and called out for Sara who was just standing there looking at her nails, completely unaware of the situation. She looked up at Molly and started running. "Wait! Why are we running?" She yelled after them. I rolled my eyes and looked at the guy who practically saved me from getting flogged even more.

And of course it was Grayson. He started to run towards me. "Alli! Are you okay?" He asked in a rush. I nodded and let out a little weak laugh.
"Yeah, I'm used to it." I smiled a little. I looked at him to see his face filled with concern. "Really? You get it a lot?" He asked. "Not a lot, but sometimes." I reply. "But thank you Grayson." I said. But his eyes never left mine. They stayed there. I gulped and picked up my phone. I had a text from all of my brothers.

Seth: Hey Al, cant pick you up, still working. And Jules texted he got dropped off at home by one of his friends. So don't worry bout him. xo

Ethan: Hey Al dawg ;) I've got footy practice so can't drive you home. And you're not getting my baby.

Isaac: Heyyyy I'm in detention. ;)) Can't walk with ya or try to get the car off Ethan ;( Soz sis.

Jules: Apparently Seth told you's, so bye.

Dad: Sorry honey, I've got too work night shift tonight. Love you though sweetheart!

I let out a huge sigh. Looks like I'm walking if A: Seth and Dad are working. B: Ethan will never let me use his car.
C: I don't have a car
And D: Isaac is the only one who can persuade Ethan.

I groaned in frustration. "Alli? What's wrong?" Grayson asked.
"I have to walk home, none of my brothers can take me." I explained. Grayson stood there with a wide grin. "What?" I asked irritated.
"I'll drive you home." He said casually dropping the grin.
Should I? He's almost a stranger.. But then again I am going out with him on Saturday and I don't wanna walk in the hot boiling sun.

I mentally groaned. "Fine." I huffed and followed Grayson down the hall.
