Jay returned to his class that was further down the hall.

"Good luck today Cayden!" Julia encouraged Cayden.

"Thanks." Cayden politely replied.

Julia patted Cayden's shoulder to encourage him further.

She's interested in Cayden. Wow, who do I have. Why is everything about Cayden all the time, why. I wondered in frustration.

I pushed my way through into class, I was not in the mood for the regular drama I was always dragged into due to Cayden's popularity.

"Wait, Lucy!" Cayden called out.

Screw you. I wish I could've said it.

"Lucy." Cayden demanded as he stopped me by my shoulder.

"Don't touch me, you filthy seducer." I said hatefully.

"Sorry..." Cayden said as he released my shoulder with a pained look.

"I... I didn't mean it to sound so bad." I explained, feeling guilty.

I walked into class like normal and Cayden silently followed.

"Wait, Lucy I-" Cayden was cut off by the teacher.

"We're changing seats today! Stay where you are and listen for your names." Mrs. Kaiser, my language arts teacher, announced.

"Julia." Mrs. Kaiser said pointing to the seat next to the door.

She continued naming students and pointing at their assigned seats.

"Lucy." She said as she pointed at the window seat which was across the room from Julia.

I slumped safely into my seat, looking out the window. My mind was in an abyss.

"Cayden." She said as she pointed to the seat next to mine.

"What?" I blurted.

"Is something the matter Lucy?" Mrs. Kaiser questioned.

"No..."

"We're fated to be together Lucy." Cayden said with a smirk.

"No, no we're not Cayden." I urged.

Class began and my mind trailed off, once again. My eyes began wandering to Julia, my bestie, then to Jaden, the most attractive guy in class, the class seducer.

I let my eyes wander some more until I let my eyes reluctantly land on Cayden. I knew I hated him but I couldn't keep my eyes off him. He seemed to constantly attract me. I tried ripping my eyes off his adorable sleeping face, but I caught a glimpse of his hands. He had this intricate yet simple pair gloves on, protecting him from accidental skin to skin contact.

Why didn't I notice before. I thought, feeling even more guilty about what I called him.

Suddenly a powerful force grabbed my arm and coiled around it. I couldn't pry Cayden's long gloved fingers off my arm.

"WAIT WHAT?" I panicked trying to escape his grasp.

"Don't leave me Lucy... Don't go... Please..." He murmured in his sleep.

Why was he doing this to me. Why was he making my heart beat. Why was his cold hands warming my skin. Why would he let me see him in such a vulnerable state. Why was I getting seduced without touching his skin.

I mercilessly slapped his head.

"Ouch." Cayden said while releasing me without knowing and rubbing his head.
