Most of the day was Luke trying to figure out how to ask out Zander, most of the day his work was second to his ideas, coming up with a few that might work, and a lot of places that would work for dates. Luke wanted their first date to be quiet and just the two of them, and knowing Zander he would also want that. Something quiet with no one to interrupt.
Soon enough the day was over and Luke was driving him and Zander back home, Zander was rambling about his day and how one of his coworkers playing some stupid prank on him. "What are you smiling about?" Zander asked. "Oh nothing... I'll tell you about it later." Luke could hear the confusion in Zander voice but said nothing about it. "Alright-"
The two got home and into more casual clothing, Luke came into the living room to see Zander laying on the sofa with the TV on. "Hey Zander-?" Luke watched as he paused what he was watching and turned to Luke. "What's up?" He asked with that slight smile Luke loved so much. "Can we go somewhere tomorrow?" Luke asked slightly awkward. "Sure... But when you say somewhere-?"
"Its a surprise." Luke winked and smiled, seeing a small blush on the others face. "And, if you wanted maybe a date." He added, and it was worth it to see Zander get even more flustered. "It's a date." Zander said with a smile Luke had a feeling he was trying to forget about how flustered his face was.
The next day Luke couldn't hold in his excitement. All throughout the day he was planning and getting ready for the afternoon, planning for the date to end pretty late so they could watch the sunset. He really hoped Zander was just as excited. This would be their first sunset together, and their first sunset in colour.
"Read to go?" Zander asked Luke with a bright smile. "Mhm, lets go." Luke took hold of his keys and took hold of Zanders hand, noticing his slight blush. They got to the spot, a simple beach cliff picnic. It was small and smile, but from the look on Zanders face Luke could tell the other liked it.
"Thank you Luke." He said as they were eating. "It wasn't too small?" Luke asked causing Zander to shake his head. "Its quiet and peaceful, I couldn't have asked for a better first date."
"First date? So you would want to go on another one?" Zander rolled his eyes and placed a kiss to Lukes lips, it was sort but it was also full of love. "I'm counting on there being another one."
