Part 1: Asking Permission/Buying The Ring

Since you and Jin had been together for three, going on four, years now, you two had already discussed marriage at length. You had told him how important it was to you that he ask your father for your hand in marriage so he intended to honor your wishes.

One day while you were off at work, Jin decided to drop by your parents house and ask them in person.

"Seokjin!" Your mother exclaimed in a surprised voice, but she had a smile on her face. "Come in! Come in!"

She ushered him inside and she announced his presence to your father as Jin took off his shoes. Once he was done, your mother wrapped her arm around his and led him into the living room where your father was sitting, watching tv in his easy chair.

"Seokjin, what a surprise son. Where is Y/N?" Your father asked as he shook hands with Jin.

"Ah, Y/N is still working. I came over alone because I wanted to ask you both something."

"Well, what is it?" Your father wondered.

"As you both know, Y/N and I have been together for a while now and I love her very much. I've been thinking about it for a while now and I wanted to ask you for her hand in marriage."

"You want to marry our little girl?" Your mother gushed and Jin nodded sheepishly. "Oh, Y/D/N," she gushed as she turned to look at your father. Your father then looked over at Jin with a huge smile on his face.

"I had always hoped someone would have enough decency to ask me before they proposed to her. Of course you have our permission," your father nodded and Jin couldn't help but to breathe out a huge sigh of relief.

Min Yoongi

"Are you sure this is the one she pointed out to you?" Yoongi asked for the hundredth time, looking at your best friend.

"I'm more than sure Yoongi. She's only been pointing out this ring to me since we were teenagers." She replied him as she rolls her eyes. He sighed heavily and rans his hands over his face.

"I'm sorry. I just really want everything to be perfect for her."

"It will be. And you don't have to worry about her saying yes. She loves you more than anything or anyone else in this whole world," she assured him. Yoongi smiled widely at hearing that and waved his hand, gaining the attention of the salesperson.

"Yes, I'd like to purchase that ring please," he said, pointing to the rock that you've dreamed about for years. The clerk nodded his head and proceed to pull the ring out of the protective case that it was in before beginning to package it up.

"So, how are you gonna propose?" Your best friend wondered. "Oh, you should do it on her birthday!"

"I don't wanna wait 5 months just to ask her," Yoongi chuckled. "And I haven't really thought it about it. I literally just had the thought of buying the damn ring like three days ago."

"Oh please, you've been thinking about marrying her since the night you two met in that club," your best friend scoffed.

"True," he shrugged. Just then, the salesperson rung up the ring and Yoongi quickly took his card out to pay for it. Once the transaction was done, the clerk handed the bag to Yoongi before he and your best friend walked out of the store.

"Regardless of how you decide to do it, just make sure that you're doing it for the right reasons," your best friend told him. "She deserves to be taken care of."

"And I'll spend the rest of my life making sure that she is, long as she says yes," Yoongi promised.
