Chapter two

Addison and I never got lunch together. It's been a few weeks, and I've been busy with work I had no time for a lunch date. Especially with Xandra on my ass every two fucking seconds.

She never gave me a break, handing me paperwork that was hers, giving me the hard shit. I mean, I made a lot of money so I didn't mind, but she pissed me off.

On the other hand, being busy with work was a good thing. I could avoid Addison. She's a sweet girl, but I will not catch feelings for someone I work with. It'd be inappropriate. So, I distanced myself and we both accepted it.

"Ms. y/l/n. Here's these, do them." Mrs. Terrell said. Before she could throw it onto my desk, I stood up.

"No. Unfortunately, I'm busy with the other shit you gave me. Do it yourself." I replied. She scoffed.

"You do realize I'm your boss, right? When I tell you to do something, you do it." She said.

"And I said no. I'm already busy, and if you're the boss, then start fucking acting like it. Do it yourself. I'm busy." I said. She seemed very pissed, but she walked out.

I said back down, and someone knocked on my door. I could not handle anybody's shit right now.

"Ms. y/n. That was badass, although, she may fire you for that." Isla said.

"Maybe she shouldn't be a stuck up bitch, and do her own work. I have work to do, and she gives me more." I replied, as I continued the work.

"Yeah, but you're doing amazing! Do you need anything? Like food, or water? You've been in here for hours." Isla said.

"Coffee would be fine."

Hours pass by, and it's late. I'm not even halfway done, but I'm tired. I packed my things, and I left.

"Hey, y/n. I hear what happened in the office earlier, go you!" Adeline said. Adeline was a new girl I met at the office, we became friends quickly.

"She pissed me off, I'm surprised I even said anything. I'm usually good at shutting the fuck up." I replied as we stood outside of my car.

"That's true. I'm glad you finally said something, though! She was driving you mental. Anyway, want to go out? We can go to a bar or something. Looks like you need a drink." Adeline said. I thought about it.

"Fine. Not much, I still have to work tomorrow." I replied. She was excited, and she got into my car.

We went to a bar, and as soon as we got there she ordered us tequila shots. This was going to be a long night.

"Come onnn, y/n. Let loose, have some fun! You're always working, and in a working mode. It's time to have fun." Adeline said. I had only one shot, as for her.. she had many.

"Fine," I said as I took another shot of tequila. She squealed, and pulled me towards a booth. She ordered more shots.

The next thing I remember is waking up in my bed, my alarm went off and I jumped. I don't even remember anything else from last night.

I showered, and quickly grabbed a suit from my closet. I did something simple for my makeup, and I took some Advil.

I had a hangover, and it sucked ass. I had a bad headache, and I wanted to sleep. I couldn't, obviously. I put sunglasses on, and left my house.

"Good morning, Ms. y/l/n. Today should be an easy day, if Mrs. Terrell doesn't give you anything else." Isla said as I walked inside.

"Are you alright? You look rough." Isla said. I nodded, and took the papers.

"Good morning, y/n. You look.. tired." Adeline said, and she closed my office door.

"Shut up, this is your fault. Now, get out. I'm busy today." I replied. She groaned.

"Fine, I'll come back later."

I sat down, and someone knocked on my door. I looked up, only to see that it was Xandra.

"Can I help you?"

"We need to talk. But first, you look rough. Are you drinking?" She asked.

"What? No, the fuck? Not that it's any of your concern, but I went out last night. I wouldn't be under the influence while I'm working, unlike some people." I said, referring to her obviously.

She bit her tongue, so she wouldn't go off on me. Although, it'd be quite a show.

"We have this project we have to work on together, no it isn't my choice. No, you don't have a choice either. We'll be working on it for several weeks." Xandra said.

"You've got to be joking." I said. With her, really? No way, I will not be able to do this.

"I wish I was."
