Bosses Regret.

Chapter one

Today was my first day at a huge company. I've been trying to get a job there for many months, and it finally paid off. I was a partner with the person who owns the company, her name is, Xandra Terrell.

I've heard things about her, apparently she's a bitchy person who had no self respect for anyone. She also gets high a lot, which is surprising.

It was seven am, and I stopped for coffee before I went inside the building. As I got in the elevator, a girl named Addison spoke to me.

"Are you the new partner? I've never seen you around before." She said.

"Indeed. And you are..?"

"Oh, I'm Addison. I'm Mrs. Terrell's assistant." She said as she held out her hand. I shook it.

"Nice to meet you. I'm y/n." I replied. She smiled.

"You have a lovely name." She said. She was still holding my hand.

"Oh, thank you."

Did I blush? Was I blushing? I better not be. This elevator needs to open.

As I was lost in my thoughts, the elevator finally opened. She let go of my hand.

"Have a good day, Ms. y/n!" She said, and I smiled. Then quickly walked away.

I was walking towards my office as a short blonde girl came walking towards me.

"Hi, Ms. y/l/n. I'm your assistant, Isla." She said, as she handed me paperwork. I quickly looked at it.

"Thank you." I replied, and I sat down at my desk. Isla stood there.

"Is there anything else..?" I asked. She looked nervous.

"Oh- I- no, sorry." She replied, and she quickly ran out of my office. I was beyond confused.

A couple hours into my paperwork, I heard a knock on the door, "come in."

"Hello, Ms. y/l/n. Addison asked to speak with you, do you want me to send her in?" Isla asked. I nodded.

"Hey, y/n." Addison said as she sat down in front of me. I looked up from my paperwork. She looked very.. attractive. She was wearing a red dress that ended just above her knees, and her hair was curled.

"Hello."

"How was your day? Was it easy, or stressful?" She asked, as she crossed her legs.

"It was divine, not too bad. I still haven't met Mrs. Terrell." I replied. She smiled.

"That's probably a good thing, she can be very bitchy. I wouldn't want her to scare you away on your first day, plus I would like to get to know you." Addison said. I smiled.

"If she's so scary, how come you're still working for her?"

"Well, because I need a job. She can be a bitch, and self centered but she can also be sweet. Depends on the day." She replied.

"I see. How was your day?"

"Well, it wasn't too bad. Mrs. Terrell had me running around all day, or else I would've came in sooner." She said smiling.

I smiled, "it's alright. I've been busy with paperwork, I didn't even realize the time."

"It's around one. Have you ate anything?" She asked. I shook my head.

"Great, me neither. Would you like to go to the café with me?" She asked. I smiled, and nodded. I grabbed my keys, and wallet and we walked out of my office.

As we went to get on the elevator, a tall blonde walked towards us. She dressed like a teenager, she had acrylics on and she wore eyeliner.

"Addison, where do you think you're going? I need you here, and who's this?" The women said.

"This is-"

"I'm Ms. y/l/n. You would've known that if you took the time out of your such busy day, to meet your partner for the company." I replied. The women looked furious.

"Who do you think you're talking to like that?" She asked.

"Mrs. Terrell, please. Calm down, let's go do something, shall we?" Addison said, as she walked Xandra down the hallway.

"Well, that was quite a show." Isla said, as she handed me more paperwork.

"Bloody hell, that women angers me and it's only the first day!" I said, as I took the paperwork. Before she could reply, I went back to my office.

Around eight I had finally finished, everyone had gone home. Or so I thought. As I was leaving, Addison called my name.

"Why're you still here?" I asked.

"I had things to do, what about you?"

"Paperwork."

"Well, here's my number. Maybe I could take you out for lunch another day?" She said, smiling. I smiled.

"Maybe I'd enjoy that." I replied. She handed me the paper, and I got into my car.
