On hind sight, he should not have agreed to dress up as a maid .

On hind sight, he should not have sneaked into the teachers room with his best friend who also happened to be his long time crush.

On hind sight-

Well, Xie Lian sighs. There is no escaping this now.

[Earlier that day]

The hallways of the were strewn with coloured paper, glitter and confetti. The annual school fest was being held and Xie Lian, being in his senior  year of high school , was determined to enjoy it to the fullest. But with his wonderful[read: awful] luck his class had chosen maid cafe for there theme , which wasn't so bad. But, here he was , standing at the backroom and being dressed up in a maid outfit by Shi Qingxuan because they were short on members.

"Shi Qingxuan....this is really too small for me." , Xie Lian lamented

"Hush. You look adorable", the said person cooed. They made Xie Lian turn around and gave him a once over before declaring that he was ready to go.

"I really don't wanna..." , Xie Lian said.

" C'moooon" , Shi Qingxuan whined. "You are the most popular guy from our year, putting on that dress is gonna make our business blow."
Xie Lian sighed. There was no use arguing with Shi Qingxuan.

"Oh", they said suddenly,"I forgot these"

Xie Lian turned around to see them holding a pair of white panties.

"NO"

"But-"

"I'm not acceding to this request"

"Oh but Lian Lian, these will help with your vibes!"

Xie Lian didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "I can't. I'll be meeting with San Lang today.", He tried to reason.

" All the more reason for putting them on!" , Shi Qingxuan said before hopping out of the room to tend to other activities. Xie Lian picked up the underwear and stared at it for a few moments before deciding to put them on. Maybe Shi Qingxuan did have a point.

Easier said than done . He knew people found him objectively attractive but he still wasn't used to THIS MANY people staring at him. He had been assigned to welcome the guests after he broke his third consecutive plate. As he heard another set of footsteps approach he instinctively bowed down, saying the customary " Welcome to our cafe, ma-"
He stopped abruptly when he saw a single obsidian eye staring at him in....in.....awe? The other eye the beautiful, mesmerising red one, was hidden behind the eyepatch that Hua Cheng always wore in public.

"I wasn't aware that gege likes dressing up", he said, subtly teasing him. Hua Cheng, or as he preferred to be called-San Lang, was a year younger than him but the two got along pretty well. He used to be the lonely kid in middle school. Xie Lian had saved him from bullies who were trying to push the smaller kid into a trash can just because he had a different coloured eye. Xie Lian had tended to his injuries after which the two started hanging out together, often sharing his lunches with Hua Cheng who used to look malnourished. They soon became inseperable.

"San Lang , please don't..." , Xie Lian whined.

"Ah, gege, you look so beautiful that I can't help myself. "

Xie Lian playfully hit him on the shoulder but couldn't deny the sincerety in his words.

"It was Shi Qingxuan's idea." He said.

"Then I must thank them for this wonderful idea" Hua Cheng replied, a mischievous look playing in his eyes. Xie Lian knew that look very well and he wasn't lying when he said that it made him FEEL things. He shoved Hua Cheng into the cafe instead of replying and ushered him to one of the empty seats. He was met with a pout.
