Taehyung just finished with his rounds, visiting Yumin in the NICU and then talking to the Chois. He was so tired — physically and emotionally as it's been a very eventful day for him. But, despite the tiredness, he wouldn't want to skip seeing Aria. So, instead of going home with Namjoon, he messaged the latter not to wait for him anymore and that he will just sleep at the hospital. He's used to that anyway.
Taehyung knocked at the door of Aria'a room and heard a small voice say come in. He couldn't help but smile at how perky her tone was. For a little girl who went through so much earlier that day, Taehyung was expecting her to be somber and weak.
Aria was sitting on her hospital bed with a bunny smile on her face, playing with her plushies. Taehyung's heart missed a beat when he saw the smile.
Just like her father's. What the hell. Why am I even thinking about him.
Taehyung wanted to slap himself at that moment.
"Hewow, doctow." Aria greeted Taehyung.
"Hello to you too, Aria. What are you doing? Shouldn't you be resting by now?" Taehyung asked her and then mouthed a "Hi" to Jin.
"I shtill have 10 minutes befowe bed time." Aria said.
"I see. What have you got there?" Taehyung asked as he sat down on Aria's bed, beside the little girl.
"My pwushies." Aria said while showing him his tiger and bunny plushies — both looking quite familiar to Taehyung.
"Who gave you your plushies, Aria?"
"Dada. This is Taekook the Tigew and Junghyung the Wabbit." Aria proudly said.
Taehyung was taken aback as he gave those plushies to Jungkook.
FLASHBACK
"Happy anniversary, Kookie." Taehyung said as he peppered the face of a sleeping Jungkook with kisses.
Jungkook groaned. "What time is it?"
"I don't care what time it is. What's more important is what day it is."
Jungkook stretched and hugged Taehyung tight. "Happy one year, Tae."
Taehyung pulled away from Jungkook and straddled him.
"Hey, open your eyes, Kookie."
Jungkook squinted and tried to open his eyes.
