My mum is pretty laid back so she just laughed and said she wouldn’t tell dad.
Ben’s phone buzzed. Are you and Alex ok after the whole Ellie situation? Ben put his fork on his plate and read it out to us. “Phone away Ben you know the rules” My dad said. I nudged him. Dad looked at me. “It’s important dad” Dad nodded. My mum started laughing and I knew it was about the whole Ellie situation “What do I say back?” Ben wanted advice from me but my mother was protective of us both. “Say yes we are fine now fuck off from me Alex and her mum” We all laughed even dad who is normally strict. “Ok I said. Yup were totally fine just control that psychopathic girlfriend of yours” We all laughed at that. “Ok anyone thought of band names?” Danny asked. Yesterday he was requesting stupid ones like Coat hanger party or where is the wifi. Today he was serious. People shook their heads. “I asked Alexandria yesterday” Ben turned to Alex who gave him a dickish look. “Oh my god it’s perfect” Danny shouted. Ben looked at him “What? I asked Alexandria yesterday?” Danny laughed “No. Asking Alexandria. I like it who is with me” Everyone nodded. Including Alex. “Well then. It is settled we are asking Alexandria” Just then Ellie came in crying. “Sorry we didn’t call a stripper or a prostitute” Danny shouted. Ellie started crying even more. She closed the door and ran over to me. “Danny fuck off. James I am so sorry please I love you so so much you don’t even understand” She carried on crying. Ben and Danny exchanged glances and everyone turned to me. “No Ben she is your cousin” Ben looked at me again. It was as if he felt like he didn’t have to explain himself to me “Yes she is but she is also like a sister. And therefore when her boyfriend of like five years cheats on her and is still in love with her it’s not my place to tell her. It’s yours” Danny sat up and bashed a guitar case “Holy shit is James asking Alexandria” The all turned to me and I nodded.
“Hey have you seen Alex” Nope sorry was a common response “Have you seen Alexandria Bruce” Head shakes. “Have you seen Al” A girl nodded “Yup in the art block in the photo room” I nodded “Thanks so much cheers” I touched her arm and sprinted to the art room.
Alex was crying and looking at some of the photos. “Alex I-“ She pointed at one and I walked over “This was our last photo together and this” She pointed at another “Was our first” I looked down. “Why did you have to go and fuck It up?
