I smiled. I hadn’t seen Vic for a few weeks. He had been away writing and recording the new Pierce the Veil album. I wasn’t aloud contact with him because Jamie said “I would be a distraction because Vic is in love with you even if you don’t see it” Obviously I should know this. He told me enough times but I didn’t believe it no matter how many times he said it and that was the one thing that broke his heart.
Half an hour later and I was pretty worried at the fact Vic still wasn’t home.
A: Hey baby I don’t mean to be a pain but where are you? X
V: Hello sweetheart. You could never be a pain and I’m so so sorry we’re stuck in traffic “/ x
I smiled. Even when Vic wasn’t with me and I hadn’t seen him for a few weeks he always managed to make me smile.
15 minutes later the door closed and I stood up. Vic dropped his bags and ran over to me and started hugging and kissing me. “I’ve missed you so much. I’m so sorry I’m late” He started kissing me again. I just laughed and fell in his arms.
We sat on the sofa. “Oh by the way I missed you too” Vic smiled and kissed me. I rested my head on his shoulder. “Ok Abi. I’ve got a pretty cool day planned out for us” He sat me up and I looked puzzledly at him. “Why Vic where are you going now? Are you leaving me again?” He shook his head and leaned in to kiss me “No no sweetie. I haven’t seen my lady in three weeks and I want to spend time with her. The only show we have is our one tonight then nothing for a few weeks until the album release” I smiled and pulled my embarrassed face. “Ok so what are we to do?” Vic smiled at me “That’s my secret”
He took hold of my hand as we walked across the beach bear foot. “I love the beach it’s so cute and quite and the sea is amazing” I held Vic’s hand tighter and rested my head on his shoulder. We were the only two at the beach. Vic gave me a cheeky look and picked me up, I screamed “Oh my god Vic no put me down oh god please put me down” I was laughing. I shouldn’t have said put me down. “Are you sure?” I nodded still laughing. Next thing I know I was in the sea. “Vic I am going to kill you!” He grabbed my arms “I’m sorry Hunnie” I shook my head and he pulled me into him and kissed me. I smiled. And he looked deeply at me. “I love you. You do know that don’t you?” He kept looking at me. I couldn’t ignore his question. “Stop it. No you don’t” He was holding both of my hands. He kissed me on the cheek “Yes I do and I will prove it to you” He unheld one hand and walked back along the beach with me.
“Ok Abi you wait upstairs and I will call you down in an hour or so” He kissed my cheek “I love you by the way” I shook my head and walked upstairs. There was a letter there for me.
Dear Abi,
Ok right now I am doing something for you but you will see what it is when I call you down. Also next to this letter is your favourite jumper of mine. You can keep it, It looks better on you. I know for some reason you don’t believe me when I say I love you but why else would I be with you? I truly love you. OK I love you and I will see you down stairs soon. Vic x
I smiled and put on the jumper. It still smelt of Vic. Seriously Abi. How can you think Vic doesn’t love you. He is doing all this for you and you’re pushing him away but he still stays. It’s clear he loves you and it’s no wonder you love him.
I lay on the bed in Vic’s jumper biting my nails. “Ok Abi I’m ready” I sighed and sat up. I looked in the mirror and made sure I looked ok in the jumper Vic kindly gave me. I smiled at myself and walked down stairs.
He had our dinner table set out with candles and some flowers. “Aww Vic” I put my arms around his waist as he dished some food onto the plates. He had made spaghetti bolognaise which just so happened to be my favourite. Vic laughed as I got sauce around my mouth. “Here I’ll help” He wiped the sauce away then kissed me. I just smiled. “You stressful girl. Why won’t you just believe I love you?” I shrugged my shoulders. “I don’t know. But you tell me enough times” He smiled at me.
*Vic’s P.O.V.*
Abi sat down on the tour bus. I smiled at her. Jesus my day of trying to make her believe I love her hadn’t worked….Yet. Of course I had another plan.
Abi and I had been together for 2 years. And in all of them two years she has never once believed I love her. It stresses me out of course because if I didn’t love her why would I be with her. I love and value her more than anything in this world. Even more than my band.
“Ok PTV you’re on in 5” We all stood up. I took hold of Abi’s hand and took her to side stage. I put my arms around her waist and smiled. She laughed and looked away. “Good luck Vic” I kissed her and kept a tight hold of her body against mine “Stay here during the show please?” She nodded and I kissed her again. “I love you” I ran onto the stage and got ready to perform.
Abi was on my mind the whole time. I had just performed King for a day with Kellin. He left the stage and I realised I only had one shot to do this. “Ok guys just before we break into our next song I want to do something. Some of you know I have a girlfriend and we’ve been together for over two years. She doesn’t believe me when I tell her I love her so I would really love for her to just come on stage so I can prove it” The crowd cheered as Abi stepped on the stage. I smiled. “I want to dedicate this song to you Abi because I know it’s your favourite from our album this is A Match Into Water”
Abi smiled all the way through the song. When I was done I had so much adrenalin in me. “Abi sweetheart I love you” I dropped down onto my knees on stage and pulled out a box “Will you please Marry me?” He jaw dropped and her hands covered her face. She looked into my eyes. “Yes Yes” I smiled and put the ring on her finger and stood up “Yes baby yes” I put my arms around her waist again and kissed her. I hugged her and kissed her again. “You really do love me don’t you?” She whispered in my ear. I pulled away from our hug looked at her and nodded. “Yes I do”
