We still can't get the children to answer the questions about who they are. Until a caseworker recognized the brunette and then the other two children. Apparently their parents didn't report them missing at all. The police were arresting both sets of parents for child abuse, neglect and the two blonde children father with raping his children. We couldn't find their mother. She hadn't been seen since the little girl turned three years old. The girls are both six and the boy is 8. The girls parents Raymond and Carla were arrested for child neglect, abuse and endangerment. A neurosurgeon had to be called in after she had a seizure. They had to operate and remove two blot clots on her brain from head injuries. It was clear someone was hitting her head against something.
Grace
Elliott, Christian and Mia are missing their father, but I explained that he was saving three children's lives and that is why he isn't here right now. He finally arrives home just before the kids have to go to bed. He might have to go back if one of them flatlines again.

After everything with the three children I go home to make sure I hug, kiss and hug all my family. Grace looks at me and knows that I was greatly affected by the three children that I was caring for.
Caseworker Stephanie Smith
I got a call about three children being brought into the ER by a firefighter. The story was that they came to get medical treatment for their friend. All three needed medical care immediately. My feeling is that these are caseworker Donna James's charges. I told her that I got a bad feeling about their parents and here they are again. I have my own thoughts as to why she didn't have these children taken out those homes, but I couldn't prove anything. I am just glad miss James was unavailable to come to the hospital to investigate and possibly remove these children permanently from their parents care. No missing children reports were made concerning these children. At this point they aren't going to be released one is in a coma and the other two are probably going to need surgery. They can't withstand the surgery due to malnutrition and infections. Rape kits were used and both were raped. DNA show it was a family member. But we knew from the boy his father did this to them. When I questioned him about his mother's whereabouts he and the girl trembled in fear and bawled their eyes out. I inform the investigating authorities they might want to look into if anything has happened to the mother of the two Kavanagh children.
Detective Alice Watkins
I really hate these type of cases. You just know these parents should have been sterilized so they wouldn't have children. I look at the young girl in a coma hanging onto the life that she was dealt. Then I go see the young boy and girl. I am not sure how to proceed after looking at these two Kavanagh children's medical files. This is not the first time these children have been here for any reason. They are frequent guests of the ER. I get a search warrant along with press charges against all three of these children's parents. The three children have been here for a couple of days and no one cared enough to report them missing. If they hadn't been in the system we wouldn't have known who they are. At least not right away. I get some information that makes me worried about Mrs Kavanagh whereabouts. We can't locate her and no one has seen her in a very long time. No missing persons report on her either.
Caseworker Smith
I check for any relatives who haven't been reported for abuse. The Steele child is an only child of Raymond and Carla Steele and only grandchild of Jane Rose Steele. Not a whole lot about her is known. She is the only family Anastasia Rose Steele has besides her parents. Her twin brother was stillborn. Then there is no one, but their missing mother. Enid Louise Kavanagh can't be found. The kids aren't talking about her at all. Ethan Allen Kavanagh refuses to talk and what he does keeps his sister Katherine Ingrid Kavanagh doing double of no talking. Even when they are apart his influence is still present. He is very protective of his sister and the Steele girl. This is going to be a hard placement. I check the grandmother's age. She is 44 years old, so her son and his wife were young when they had Anastasia. Jane Steele is a widow and has been since her husband succumbed to a bout with pneumonia. His age was a factor as well. He was 89 and left her a huge estate, Raymond Steele was a brilliant man, but became an addict after meeting Carla Sue Wilkes. It is one thing to place a child with their grandmother, but another thing to see if she will pass the foster care scrutiny. I need to try.
Jane Steele
I have never seen, much less knew that my son had a daughter and needs to come live with me. My home is not conducive to bringing a child into it. I call my personal assistant Eloise and ask her if she thinks we can safely bring my six year old granddaughter into my home.
Eloise
Ma'am in all honesty, your home is not a home that kids would feel comfortable in. Your home is a showcase that even adults are afraid to come into for fear of breaking things or getting your furniture dirty.
Jane
What do you suggest I do to create a home that will allow for children to live here.
Eloise
A total makeover, get rid of breakables and make the house child friendly. We can go shopping, if you wish. Or just hire a decorator.
Jane
Let's talk to a decorator and maybe buy a home and have it set up for children. Call around. Find a few good ones. She leaves my office and gets me on the line with a realtor and Betty Sue Lindsey has three vey nice places that can easily be furnished to accommodate children. They are secure as well. One has a pool a boat house and a dock. It has a huge back and front yard a long drive and has a guard house and an electronic gate. Cctv cameras as well. I make an appointment and ask her if she knows a good decorator and she says she does all the staging of the homes, so she can decorate it anyway I wish. How fast can we get this done?
Betty
We can have it done in two weeks. The house is vacant and the bank needs it off the books by the end of the year. You can close in a week, given the right circumstances.
Jane
So the right amount of cash can close it quickly huh?
Betty
Yep.they want it gone and are receptive to reasonable offers.
Jane
Well let's meet and call the bank. I grab my checkbook and tell Eloise to get the driver to pull the car around and bring our coats, purses and phones. Plus find my boots. We are going to have a white Christmas.
