Jane
The children are still getting used to being here and they have their things from their old homes. The trials if their parents are still pending. They came to us at the right time. We had people bring in clothing for them to choose from. At first they were scared to choose anything. Eloise was again watching out for my bottom line and bought from a place that the clothing wasn't extravagant only well made. We had them try the clothing on and three hours later all three had a complete wardrobe and winter coats along with boots, socks, underwear and hats. The girls got purses and hair things. Brushes, headbands, barrettes. The left over clothing I had taken to the homeless shelters and paid for it all. Ten thousand dollars was also sent to the shelter.
Eloise
Jane has me handle the check and clothing delivery and it goes smoothly. I thought it did at least. I didn't count in seeing an old classmate though. Caren Jones runs the homeless shelter and I think Jane knew this. I usually have security deliver gifts like this and it goes well. We sit and talk about things and I give her the check and the guys bring in the clothing. We have from adult to babies. Jane ordered all the clothing and she spent a large amount for everything and paid the staff well to assure they helped the shelter distribute everything and bring more if needed. Until Christmas Day they will be delivering coats, boots, hats, and gloves for all ages. I give Caren my number and tell her to give a call with a list of things that they can use. When she pulls out a list it didn't surprise me. I had my assistant come get the list and tell her to have it all delivered ASAP. I tell Caren to keep in touch with me.
Jane
Eloise hugs me and says thanks to me. Caren was a friend that she lost touch with and I recently found her. I set the whole thing up so she could see her friend again. So it costs me a little money, it was worth it seeing her happy. Everything clothing from their old homes were gone through and only a few things were kept. I had a keepsake trunk bought for each of them to save memories old and new. Even though they had awful things done to the by their parents. I hope they had some good memories too.
Christmas Day
I haven't celebrated Christmas in years, except giving gifts to immediate staff members who are around me like Eloise and now the new worker's. I have them give me a list of five things they want and give them cash as well. Eloise decides the amounts nothing over a thousand dollars. She thought little savings banks would be good for the children to have. Ones that can't break. She ordered them and they arrived quickly. We put the first coin inside it. We gave it to them New Year's Day for luck.
Eloise
This month has been rather busy, but a good busy. My bonus was twice the amount it was last year, I just put it in my savings account again. Miss Smith made one of her surprise visits. She passed us with flying colors. We finally get the children out to build snowmen. We had a lot of fun. They had no problem falling asleep that night.
Christmas Day was great, I watched as the children opened their presents and looked in their stockings. The littlest gifts made them smile. Jane enjoyed it and said having them here was the best gift she has ever been given. I agree they appreciate everything that they were given and treat all their gifts like a precious item. Too bad they were recognized as a precious gift themselves because they are. My children somehow forgot I ever existed. After their father died they were angry that they didn't inherit anything. The bills and mortgages were covered by the insurance and I sold our home. If it were for Jane and Adam helping me out I would have been homeless. My children never thought to ask about my financial status. Their college was paid by way of mortgages. Yet they didn't ask how they could help me out, no they fought me for the little money I had left in my bank accounts. Jane got her attorney to go after them for the loans they agreed to pay us back for. Luckily we had documentation and they had to pay it back. So they don't speak to me any longer and personally I stopped caring after the way they treated me at the funeral. Jane and Adam had them escorted from the premises.

I saw three snow people in the yard down the road. I haven't seen the children yet, but they have some there. It is nice that more children have moved into that house. I had to sign a few warrants for major arrests today of all days. This was only chance they could be assured of finding these people and unarmed. I hate using Christmas Day to get criminals behind bars, but we need to capture them. I walk in the door and hear the kids yell mom is home tine to open gifts.
Carrick
They have been waiting to open the gifts. Are you ready, because they sure are.
Mia
Mommy we are ready to see what Santa gave us. I hand mommy a gift I wrapped and bought just for her. I bought her a tiny gavel pin for her robe in court. She loves it and hands me a gift. I open it and it us a charm for my bracelet. A four leaf clover charm.
Elliott
I am hoping they got me season tickets to a few sports events. They did. I give mom an paperweight with a cardinal carved into it.
Christian
I got season tickets as well, but also books on business, especially the ones I really wanted. Mom wanted a pen set for her desk and I found the one she asked for. She was happy with all the gifts we gave her.
Carrick
I handed the kids their cards from Grace and I. We give them visa gift cards for a thousand dollars each. It is up to them what they do with them. I already know what Christian will be doing with his. He wants to keep buying stocks. He has me make the purchase. Elliott is saving for a car. Mia has no concept of what a thousand dollars will buy yet. We give the kids gifts in equal costs and amounts. I hand Grace my gift a diamond pendant with a locket of all of our photos inside it.

I bought Carrick a new stethoscope with his initials engraved on it. We finally get everything unwrapped and have lunch. Inexpensive small gifts we buy throughout the year are what we had left. The kids clean the trash up while Carrick and I cook lunch. My phone rings and they are calling for three search warrants. I tell them to come to my house to get them signed and to explain what they are for.
