"Rosa, we have to leave now!"

The woman in question turned to her husband, her only child in her arms, and didn't say a word as they ran through the forest, attempting to escape the burning flames.

"Alma!" She finally broke the silence, as she approached another couple; a stunning brunette woman, holding three toddlers, and a brunette man, who looked a bit too determinated.

"Rosa? Fernando?" The woman said, running towards them "Gracias a dios! Are you alright? Pedro was about to return to look for you!"

"We just left" Fernando huffed out, looking at his wife. Her black hair was all messy, but apart from that she luckily seemed to be fine.

They all walked in the dark, not having the strength to run.

"¿Qué te pasó?" Rosa muttered, looking at her childhood bestfriend. "Come, I'll take Julieta for you."

Alma smiled slightly, "Thank you. Isabela hasn't been hurt, has she?" She asked looking at Rosa's daughter "Gracias a dios! Al más bendito!" She hesitated then "They attacked us again. You know, the whole village on fire, and burning. We noticed just in time. A few were following us, just a while ago... oh... no!"

Rosa was thrown off by her scream, but as she turned around she too exploded. There they were, four men in armour,  torches in their hands, riding horses... and there they were, Fernando and Pedro. What were they doing?

Pedro stopped quick by them. "I'm sure this won't be a goodbye, I promise" he said quickly, kissing his wife and children, as he ran to oppose them, followed by Fernando.

They all knew what was about to happen.

And the next scene was just to rip out your eyes; as their swords perfectly easily passed through them, no sign of regret in the soldiers eyes.

Silence... sadness, sorrow... Rosa sat there, she heard her daughter cry, but from very far away... she heard the soldiers laugh, but from far away...

"WHY?!" Alma's scream brought her back to reality, as she fell on her knees.

The soldiers were approaching them again, and, instinctively Rosa through herself before her friend, hiding the children. "NO!"

And only then, seconds away from death it was, when the magic first happened.

The rest is a story you already know, isn't it?

Let me give you the details you couldn't watch from your sofa, from the theatre.

Because it seems to me you've forgotten about one very important detail: you.

Don't you remember?

You were in the Encanto, you had your door, you were an essential part of the story.

Still don't recall?!

You were there! With Luisa, Dolores, with Mirabel, with Camilo...—Ah! I saw that! You reacted at Camilo's name! Thank god you haven't forgotten him!

You two do have quite a story.

Well then, let me refresh your memory, Y/N, dearest.
