please enjoy my story! I will be using them/they pronouns, so you just put what you feel most comfortable with. I hope you enjoy it!
Also, this chapter is rather short, but they'll get better as I write :)Chapter 00:
As said, you shall here read the true story of Encanto, since you don't remember.
The first thing you need to know is, that after our two women first stumbled upon the magic they had no idea what to do. Until they one day completely came to understand this strange power, this strange magic.
They, and many others, had to settle down.
And so years passed.
At first, both of them lived together in their famous 'casita'. Everything was wonderful, and while they raised their children, Alma having Pepa, Julieta and Bruno, whilst Rosa only had Isabela to take care of, the four kids became amazing friends, reaching such strong bond, Julieta's first daughter was named after Isabela, while Pepa named her daughter after Isabela's second name, Dolores.
However, this wouldn't last for too long.
Though they all had a marvellous friendship, the once childhood best friends' ended when Bruno Madrigal first disappeared.
Isabela, having the gift to know the location of anyone, was asked to find him. She could find him easily after all.
Yet, your mother stood firm. She said she wouldn't, she said they should be grateful for him, that he'd gone to protect. More specific she never got.
Abuela Alma hadn't liked this; the woman didn't share blood with them, and yet opposed her about her own son. You must understand, Alma had a strong character, ever since her husband's death, and she'd never liked Isabela.
This released a fight between her and Rosa, who stood by her daughter.
It was so how the two elder women, after everything they'd been through together, ended up enemies.
Finally, drawing back after Alma threatening you, the three Bravo's moved out (your father had left before your birth, remember?) and, having 'casita' on your side, it created a smaller house at the other side of the Encanto, with the same power, and magical strength as casita.
Y/N, you were five at the time, and even though you would be the next in line to get your gift after Mirabel Madrigal's disappointing ceremony, you didn't get the chance to acquire her powers, and so, once again thanks to casita, a small ceremony , with only your mother, your tía Julieta, Pepa, tío Bruno (secretly, the two Madrigals luckily didn't realise) and abuela Rosa took place.
Does that ring a bell? No?! Alright...
What you guys didn't know, was that your door had appeared both there, but also at the house of Madrigal, rather hidden, yes, but it didn't take too long until somebody noticed.
Oh, the fury of abuela Alma! But what could she do, it was what it was.
The last straw for her probably was when you found out your room acted like a portal, since it was connected to the original casita.
And that was how more than once people had, curiously, ended up at the other side of town, after ending up in your room, causing old friendships (when you all were no older than five) to bloom once again.
The first time, it had been Camilo Madrigal, who'd accidentally, after entering your room from casita, appeared there, causing you to almost have a heart attack. How old had you been? Maybe... around twelve years old... after seven years you'd had a real interaction once again, after sharing the nursery room for five years, after comforting Mirabel as she cried because she was giftless.
You can't have forgotten!
After Camilo, Dolores and Mirabel had joined you a few times, and you'd all hung out, behind your respective abuelas' backs.
Still nothing familiar?
But today, they were fifteen. And today was the day, of the youngest Madrigal's ceremony and, being Pepa's son, them also allowed to go, in fact, to help them decorate before the rest of town appeared.
So now, please, feel free to dive into this story, since you clearly need to refresh your memory.
