FROZEN; Encanto
It was the first day of the rest of her life. This wasn't the day she was actually born, but she knew that nothing would be the same from this day forward.
This was the day of her finding out about her gift. A special day to touch the candle and open the door that'll be her chambers.
Bianca let out a deep breath; trying hard to not stumble all the way to the staircase. She was nervous yet excited. Hesitation was heard on her little footsteps, but she held a smile for the view of everyone.
The spotlight was all onto her and whispers of adoration can be heard everywhere.
Her gaze wandered all over the place as she took the final step to meet her Abuela. It struck her parents, her father, who appears proud, and her mother, who appears calm and supportive.
There's also her older sisters who's standing aside supporting her with reassuring grins.
It makes her smile, but knowing that more people are watching, she bites her lip and concentrates.
'Focus Bianca-You can't mess things up'
Alma held the candle, bending slightly to allow the child to reach it. She looked down at her and smiled reassuringly; she was aware that the kid was worried. When it came to socializing, Bianca was frequently hidden in the shadows. She was quiet-that makes people assume she's a cold and distant child-but she's just a child who suffers with social anxiety.
But it's her special day, so being nervous is unavoidable.
"It'll be fine," she says again, eliciting a small giggle from the child.
"I understand..." Bianca immediately answered, avoiding her abuela's gaze.
Her hand brushed up against the warm, glowing candle. She is enchanted by it every time she looks at it.
She turns around and touches the doorknob at that precise moment.
The candle, like the door, is glowing. The orange sparkly hue of the door captivated her eyes-it was the same sensation as watching the fire's sparks and suddenly receiving sweets. But Bianca suspected it was more.
The doorknob freezes as soon as the light on the candle fades slightly, shocking her out of the blue.
The ice covered the entire door; it was clear, sparkly, and dangerously thin. The spikes are covering the door's sides. It was sharp-sharper than any knife and blade that it can hurt anyone who touches it.
Bianca touches the ice; she feels dull and has no chilly or prickling sensations like she used to when she touched cold things. Bianca expected her body to shiver or her fingertips to shake as a result of the cold ice, but she instead feels as if she is touching nothing. It was unusual -but she assumed it was a side effect of her ne w power.
The ice was perfectly hard and transparent; calling it a crystal fits perfectly.
There was also a strange peppery odor in the room, which perplexed her the most, and the hue of air became more shady and blue-ish.
When she turned back with a smile, she saw the people and her family-almost freezing cold to her frozen powers.
They just waved and grinned as if they weren't cold at all. Bianca muttered a small'sorry' in response. Of course, no one will hear it.
When she turns around, her dark hair gradually fades into white. Her wide eyes turned blue as well. Her features significantly changed, and they all ended up looking at her as if she were a lost foreign child.
They felt sure Bianca was not that child and that she had curly black hair and hazel brown eyes. This Bianca, on the other hand, has perfectly straight hair and oceanic blue eyes.
"W-what.."Her brain stutters for a moment and every part of her goes on pause while her thoughts catch up.
"Why...why did my hair turn white?" Her voice was trembling, almost like she hadn't expected adverse reactions.
Her Abuela approaches and bends down flat to monitor the changes in the child. Other than her hair turning snow-white, her eyes becoming as blue as any sapphire, and her skin turning pale, there were no other modifications.
"I certainly wasn't expecting any physical effects - I guess this is new," Abuela muttered as she rubbed her chin with her fingers.
Bianca's body freezes, but she takes a step back, creating large snow flakes shapes on the floor. She darts her gaze around; it's getting cold and the people are freezing.
-but turning around to see her family waiting for her to open the door-she feels guilty for wasting their time-watching a child freeze with anxiety
"Conceal...don't feel." She muttered those words-as if she already made a promise to always chant those if she felt pressured.
So she opens the door, and as soon as it does, a blazing wind blows across her face, and the cloudy smoke fades. It depicts a massive crystal castle atop a mountain. It was a spectacular view. The sparkle of blue hues are everything- and the castle is designed to her liking.
Cold, shiny, large, and quiet; that is her description of her new room.
"Everyone-we have a new gift!"
Everyone cheered for her. Her photo was taken along with her Abuela who held her shoulder.
It's a perfect day; and she feel frozen.
