"A mother's food is a good remedy for sadness."

"Mami.." Bianca muttered in hushed tones, startling her mother, Julieta, who was cooking. Julieta grinned, let go of her slotted spoon, and dusted her hands to embrace her child.

"Bianca.."

Bianca was startled, and her hands froze the doorway, causing her to curse herself once more.

"Sorry..mami." Her mother just chuckled and cuddles her daughter more. Julieta did break the warm welcome and look directly at her daughter's unreadable face.

But, as a mother, she is aware that her daughter is once again distressed and guilty.

"Don't be Hija," Julieta said, smiling as she taps her daughter's nose. Although Bianca wants to make sure there is enough space among both of them, she enjoys free hugs whenever she goes out.

Touch and compassion are treasures and her heater; they make her feel something, and going out means receiving those wonderful gifts.

Although she rarely goes out, it was suggested to her by her Abuela, who stated that if she continues to go out on a regular basis, she will harm her family.

And Bianca took note of it.

"Can I assist you with that, Mama?"

"Ah, no need..your presence here is enough for me mi Amor." Julieta giggled as she caresses her child's cold cheeks. She is saddened to see her so fearful of hurting her. But a smile that adorns her child's lips suffices.

If only she could stand up to her Mami and explain why her daughter needs to go out more. If only she wasn't so concerned with doing what's best for her children.

She's too preoccupied with her daughter Mirabel not to feel excluded from the family, but what about her other three daughters?

Isabella appears to be fine, perfect, with no flaws visible in her staged smile. She's always with her Abuela, pursuing her to be the flawless accessory of the family. She wasn't alright from the start, and Julieta seemed to notice.

The same with Luisa who has always been willing to take responsibility, always attempting to work, from broad daylight to early evening, she always tried to carve as a stone replica of herself who was not exhausted and always sturdy, but she's human too, and her mother knows that.

She is the only doctor in the village. Working a lot of hours, cooking for everyone who needs food, and it never ends. Being a breadwinner is also difficult, especially if your family side has more advantageous gifts.

Her whole family is okay is good enough to relax for her. But her heart still has a whole, her twin is still lost, and they don't talk about him anymore.

Maybe she realizes her family is helpful and helpless at the same time. Who knows? But she knew that all of them have traumas her food cannot heal.

"Can..can I have some?" Bianca ask as she turned her head to the delicious food on the basket. No one can resist her mom's food.

Julieta placed her hand on her hip and simply smiled at her daughter. "You don't even have to ask, simply eat as much as you want, Bianca," she says as she continues to work.

"I wish you could go out more...you're getting skinnier and skinnier."

"You realize I can't, right? I still have these terrible powers...I could injure any of you at any time..." Bianca sits with droopy eyelids and her cheeks on her hand. She takes a taste of the wonderful Arepa, shuffles her feet, and savors the exquisite dish while remembering what her mother said.

Julieta shook her head and clicked her tongue. "How about some gloves?"

"It's not functioning; last time I simply wasted Papa's hard work; the gloves are too weak." She kissed her fingertips with crumbs as she took one final nibble.

"Stop being so pessimistic about it; maybe someday you'll understand how to manage it effectively." Julieta rolls her eyes as her grip on the spoon gets forceful.

"I hope so...although it's gotten worse recently. Whenever I'm in shock, I freeze somebody or something. Remember last time I accidentally froze Camilo's arm? Luisa has to destroy it with strong force for it to cut Mama. Look-I even defrost your kitchen door frame." Bianca grabs another bite of her food and points to the door frame, making her mother frown.

"That was three years ago; you know how to regulate it now, and also don't worry about the doorframe; it'll...well, melt."

"It won't until it's been there for like, three days? or unless you melt it with fire." Bianca snorted sheepishly and pursed her lips, considering how much bread she had already eaten.

"Bianca!" Bianca turned around at the doorway and saw her Papa Agustin covered in bee stings but smiling as if he didn't feel any pain. He opens his arms wide and rushes to hug his daughter. Bianca, on the other hand, is concerned about his Papa's health and looked to her mother, who sighed.

"Hija! It's been a long time! I'm pleased you're finally out!"

"Be cautious, Papa, I could freeze you again-"

"I don't care! I would just like to embrace my daughter!" Agustin sniffed at her daughter's back, broke the hug, and took off his spectacles to wipe his little tears. While his wife laughs, Bianca attempts to calm him down with a smile.

"Really, Agustin? Sting for the third time this morning?" She adjusted her hair and approached her husband, forcing bread into his lips.

Bianca is thrilled by her parents' relationship. If only she could see more of it. She observes one of Isabella's flowers on his shirt; he is aware that bees are drawn to such blooms, but he nevertheless wears it as a token of appreciation to his eldest daughter.

"The bees have been multiplying recently," he murmured to his wife, who giggled and rolled her eyes.

"Anyway, Bianca, you should come to your sister's engagement celebration as well-"

"Isa is getting engaged?!"

A/N: Hola! Another update because the previous one is short. Anyways I'm thankful for the suggestion of our mc ruing away too as Elsa did. And soon have to make a reason of her powers still working while she's exiled.

Anyways I notice the story is being slow but I'll try having more time in writing this. And I'm not editing the previous chapter soon.

Please don't be a silent reader! I love reading all of your comments!
