Chapter 4: Ferocious Lads

"Rion! Are you alright? Are you hurt?" 

Aeon asked his friend. The young lad clenched his fist tightly as he watch Rion curling up in a fetal position with a pained face. The young lad took out a healing potion from his pocket. "Here! Drink this!"

"Hngg, i-it won't work, the parasite will only calm down if I drink the pill from the assassination guild," Rion replied with a weak tone. The 9-year-old child whimpered because of too much pain. "But..I-I can't... g-go back t-to them---hnggg it hurts!"

Aeon shoved the healing potion in Rion's mouth.

"We can lessen the pain with this! We will wait until the Keres worm calms down. We're already in this place, we just have to find the legendary alchemist to get that parasite out of your body!" The young lad told his friend.

Rion closed his eyes as he obediently drink the healing potion.

If only he wasn't an Orphan... 

His only friend, Aeon, won't be in trouble.

"Hnggg, it hurts, it hurts," Rion mumbled in pain. He clutched his clothes tightly waiting for the pain to go away. 

He'd been in this kind of pain since he was a child, but today was different. The pain in his stomach was much worse ever since he escaped from the assassination guild. 

The only pill that could calm the parasite inside in his body was in that guild, however, returning to that place was never an option. Rion doesn't want to work for that guild anymore. To escape, he has to find the legendary alchemist to take the parasite out of his body.

Rion was an orphan. He grew up in the field of Assassination. Under the guidance of the assassination guild, he became so strong that the head of their guild decided to make him his successor.

But he doesn't want to, that's why he decided to escape with his friend when there was a great chaos because of the death of the Superior Empress. Since both Aeon and Rion were a part of the Crowned Seven, escaping wasn't a problem for them.

However, there was a one big problem.

The Keres Worm inside his body.

"Who are these brats?" 

The two lads became wary of their surroundings. They suddenly feel danger when they saw an ordinary-looking old man carrying stuff in his hands. There was a deep frown on his forehead while looking at the two lads.

Aeon didn't feel the presence of the old man. Aeon knows that Rion won't be able to fight if the old man turns out to be their enemy.

"Who are you?" Aeon asked fiercely. A golden aura suddenly surrounded his body. It's as if he's trying to warn the old man.

"Are you showing off?" The old man raised his brows when he realized that the young lad was ready to attack him at any moment. He glanced at the other lad who was currently clutching in pain in a fetal position. 

The two lads look so strong, it will be big trouble if he will give them more attention.

"If you are here to steal herbs from this place, then I am now giving you a warning," The old man named Hugo warned the two lads. "The big boss of this place is really angry right now, you should go away."

Hugo decided to just walk past them. He secretly nodded his head when he felt that aura of that young lad suddenly disappeared. "Young people today," He mumbled while rolling his eyes.

Hugo held the stuff in his hand carefully while thinking about his old woman. Just imagine the scene where all of his clothes are scattered outside of their house is making him scared. 

He has to go home quickly!

He has to coax Adelpha!

When he was about to take another step away, his other legs suddenly stopped when a little hand grabbed him. Hugo's eyes went to the brat who stopped him from walking. 

"What the hell?" He said.

"Are you the legendary Alchemist?" Aeon asked while staring at the golden cauldron at the Old man's hand. The elder simply threw away his hand before glaring at him. "My friend needs a certain pill, are you the Legendary Alchemist?"

There was a deep determination in the child's eyes, however, Hugo doesn't care.

He needs to coax Adelpha first.

"I am a doctor," Hugo replied before turning his back on the kid. "Go away."

Hugo was about to go away but the child stopped him again.

"Then do you know the Legendary Alchemist?" The child asked him again.

"Kid, if you don't let go of my clothes right now, you'll definitely face a regrettable consequences," Hugo warned him as his face became dark and serious. "This is a warning," he said.

"Then answer me first," Aeon won't back down. His clutches in the old man's clothes became tighter. "Are you the Legendary Alchemist?"

The old man remained silent. However, the deep frowns on his forehead are visible.

"I said," Hugo paused. "I am a doctor."

SWOOSH!

Hugo suddenly jumped off the ground as he twisted his body. His left foot immediately attacked Aeon. That kick doesn't have a lot of force, but it is enough to send the kid flying, away from him.

Unfortunately, Aeon was fast enough to avoid the old man's attack, he simply took a step backward as he bent his body a little. He felt a sudden change of the wind because of the elder's attack, and he knows that the kick was not at its full potential.

"AEON!" Rion shouted when he recovered some of his strength.

As soon as Hugo fell to the ground he immediately jumped backward. The golden cauldron in his hand almost fell off to the ground. Hugo immediately hugged it before gazing at Aeon. When he noticed that the young were about to attack, the old man rolled his eyes.

He almost forgot about his gift. f there is a single scratch on it, Adelpha won't accept it.

So troublesome.

Hugo scratched his head in irritation. "Tsk, what do you want from my wife? My time is running out," He suddenly said which stopped Aeon's planned attack.

"Your wife?" Aeon asked.

"The Legendary Alchemist?" Rion back up. "She's a girl?"

"Indeed, and she's angry right now. If you want to say something, say it right away," Hugo told them. "Time is running, if she scatters my clothes outside, I don't even know if you'll be able to communicate with her."

Keres worm- A parasite the inflicts unbearable pain inside of the body. Every member of the Assassination Guild has Keres worms inside of their body, they use it as a sign of loyalty. Only the Assassination Guild has a pill that could calm a Keres worm.

Crowned Seven- Consists of seven powerful kids. Most likely to be considered as the future leaders in the world.
