In the distant future of 2265, the USS Enterprise would depart from Earth and embark on it's five year voyage across the infinite Milky Way. Little did any of the 400 crew members realize their intergalactic adventures would put them through physical, psychological and emotional perils for one reason or another.

Then came 2269; September 22nd, marked the fourth anniversary of the trek's launch. Within the recreation halls, lies vast celebrations of cheers, music and dancing. Even chief engineer Montgomery "Scotty" Scott got out of the lonesome Engineering Station to join the folly and listen to the gorgeous singing of communications officer, Lt. Nyota Uhura as she played the elegant Vulcan harp (which was always borrowed by Mr. Spock).

After the fun, many would either rested in their quarters, returned to their duties or help clean up after the party. Scotty and Uhura would perform the last task with yeomans, Janice Rand and Keiko Tamura. However, the jobs would be interrupted thanks to a magnetic storm. A strange magnetic storm that managed to take the four in a flash of white light. In other words, it would not be long until Captain James T. Kirk finds them gone without a trace.

For two weeks, the officers of NC-1701 had tried their hardest to find their missing friends but to no avail. Things eventually took a turn when a strange thing happened in the transporter room. Within the chambers, a blue British police box had appeared in between the platform and the door. Slowly but surely, Kirk, Spock, Pavel Chekov and Hikaru Sulu were bracing themselves for the worst. Only for them to witness an elderly man step out and fall to the ground.

Fortunately, the man was not dead but unconscious. However, through examinations done by Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy, Nurse Christine Chapel and Dr. Jabilo M'Benga, the Enterprise, was shocked to find that the seemingly meek man had two hearts. When the stranger finally awoke, and was able to trust Kirk and his team, the man with two hearts explained himself.

He, "Dr

He, "Dr. John Smith" (Otherwise known as "The Doctor") was a Whovian from the planet Gallifrey and held the high rank of Timelord before his exile. With his blue police box, the TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space), The Doctor managed to travel anywhere and anytime. This would be so until a recent mishap had led the Timelords to force him to the 20th century. However, The Doctor would have to perform tasks for them first along with being regenerated into his third incarnation.

Given such information, Kirk, Spock and McCoy did not know what to think but as Dr. Smith was sent to them for a task, they wondered if he was sent to help them find the missing four. The hypothesis would have to wait when the ship's navigators detected a planet called Anteros IV. Curious, Kirk, Spock, Sulu and The Doctor were beamed down to explore.

Anteros IV's skies were orange and magenta during the day with it turning into blue and purple at night. Its people were orange humanoids with red hair and eyes yet, their leader, The Matchmaker, appeared like a human woman in her forties. However, The Doctor knew better for he knew the matriarch. He had to have known; that was his estranged wife, Shari.  She was a matchmaker for Gallifrey's prestigious families until she allowed her and The Doctor's daughter, Miora to marry an engaged man. As a result, the Time Lords sent her away to outer space until she gained refuge on Anteros IV. The citizens were suffering from a disastrous decrease in population thanks to a horrible plague a few years prior. With her tasks, Shari kept her alias and was made ruler.

However, The Matchmaker became more strict with her methods by the time Scotty, Uhura, Tamura and Rand were whisked into her world. Both yeomans were kept under The Matchmaker's mentorship while Scotty and Uhura were betrothed to each other after much consideration with their zodiac signs, Meyer-Briggs and other factors. Naturally, neither Uhura or Scotty were up for this plan and managed to run off into the wilderness to find some way to free their two friends and contact the Enterprise somehow.

To the rest of the galaxy, they have been gone for two weeks, but on Anteros IV, time goes much faster as a week equals a full year. In this strange new world, Scotty and Uhura had spent two years working hard to seek an escape. Yet, while doing so, romance began to bloom as they bonded over common interests such as music and technology along with realizing just how lonely they both had been. Yet, they'd find themselves beating around the bush thanks to uncertainty and needing to be focused on their rescue. However, love waits for no one as the pair become romantically involved a year later into their mission. Much to the pleasant surprise of the Enterprise crew.

While the heroes of NC-1701 figure out a way to save Rand and Tamura, the two women and The Doctor try to convince The Matchmaker free them. To make a long story short, she would have a change of heart and relax her ways in marrying people. She had even allowed Uhura and Scotty to renounce their engagement. However, realizing how much they do love each other, they decided to keep the arrangement and married days later in October.

Throughout the months, The Doctor would continue to accompany the Enterprise on their perilous adventures. Then January arrived, ushering in 2270. A few days before Uhura's birthday, she and Scotty got the news where they would become parents.
