Chase is a Union Pacific 4000 class big-boy, but he isn't just any big-boy, he's the Union Pacific 4014 big-boy, the only big-boy in operation. Chase started his career back in 1941 When he left the Schenectady locomotive works. Chase worked for the Union Pacific until 1959. At the end of Chase's revenue career, He tan up a total of 1,031,205 miles. He was retired and dontated to the Railway and Locomotive Historical Society and was displayed at the RailGiants Train Museum in late 1961. He remained there on display for 52 years. Then Mr. Clinton aquired Chase and undertook The big task of bringing the good ol boy back to life. That eventually became reality in November 2019. Chase moved under his own power for the first time in 60 years.
