Private Life

it's been a while

Hello everyone,

Surprise, it's me again. If you've enjoyed Private Life so far I would really appreciate if you took the time to read the following and comment your thoughts, even if it's a couple words:

I'm not sure how long it's been since I've updated this story but I was thinking about coming back to it. Well, more like revamping, redoing, recreating, whatever you want to call it. What I would be doing is removing Timothèe as the protagonist and he would become a fictional celebrity I create... but he would still be the face claim. The same would go for other celebrities who might make more than one appearance. So it would no longer be a fanfiction. I'm sure I would lose readers but I have come to the conclusion that I'm not comfortable enough with writing about real people... or at least using them as a main character. So for me to continue with this story I would change... a lot I suppose.

My conundrum is that I'm unsure if I should leave this story up and create a new one or redo the story via this story? I'm not sure I would want/be comfotable with it staying on my profile if I move forward with creating a second, in progress, story. Additionally, by uploading edited chapters via this story would keep the reader count where it's at. The reason being that when I've uploaded stories I've written and been proud of they never took off like this one did; and since people have this story in their library already, receiving a notification that this story has been updated would increase the chance of the new story to continue getting reads while also giving those who were fans (?) of Private Life the option to continue reading it as an individual story instead of a fanfiction.

However, on the other hand, I feel slightly guilty to use this story to promote the new one/keep the reader and vote count. In a way it feels exploitive. At least to me. My second thought being that those who would like to come back to this story can without it being changed/edited.

If you have an opinion on the matter I'd love to hear it. I have my own opinion on which possibility I'm leaning towards but I was wanting to post this just to see if anyone was still interested in a story similar to this one/even has it in their library anymore.

Thanks for all the support even when I was MIA. I don't really have any other excuse other than I no longer wanted to write this story and Wattpad just doesn't feel the same anymore.
