When Danielle got home she felt like she was in a trance. She informed her parents that she had gotten a job, which pleased them.
They attributed her a distracted look to the excitement of the new job.
As Danielle took time for her daughter to read the book, she still had George's words in her mind:
Come to see me at 7 pm.
She knew exactly what he was going there for. Danielle felt goosebumped at the thought of having a passionate time with a famous celebrity.
— And what happened to that duck, Mommy?— Hallie asked when her mother suddenly stopped reading. Danielle blinked her eyes and stroked her hair.
— She met her friend. You'll find out soon.
Hallie smiled and waited for the story to continue. Danielle tried to focus on reading, but her thoughts grew more and more intrusive about what was about to happen.
She hesitated, but rejected it. She wanted this, she wanted to be close to this man. As she remembered the moment their lips worked together and his hands on hers, she felt hot. She stuffed a lock of hair behind her ears and didn't notice that her voice was trembling.
Time was passing quickly and it was soon to be 5 pm.

Danielle was wearing tight jeans - the black thong George asked for, a black shirt and light makeup. She tied her hair in a high ponytail when she heard Cindy's voice:
— Are you going somewhere?
Danielle didn't turn away from the mirror and said:
— I have something to do, I'll be there soon. You can put Hallie to bed, please.
—Where are you going?— Cindy entered the room and closed the door. —We need to know to be calmer.
— To a friend from high school — Danielle said, and turned to her mother. —She has a problem and wants emotional support. You and dad can be calm.
— Are you telling the truth? — Cindy looked at her intently. — You've been lying about who you're dating recently, too.
—Come on — Danielle grabbed her purse and sweater. —I'm not fourteen.
—But you live in our house, and you're a mother — Cindy admonished her. — So be responsible. I don't want any new problems.
— Have you had any recently?— Danielle looked at her impudently. —You live with my father, who goes to work politely and hears you. Dante rents flat and works, I lived with my family until recently. Did you have a bad life then?
—I don't want you to get into any trouble.— Cindy wanted to touch her, but Danielle stepped back. —I want good for you.
— Then don't interfere, just. I know what I'm doing.
Then Danielle left the room, wanting to forget about her nightmare mother. Leaving the house, she told her father that she would be back soon.
When she was outside, the taxi was waiting. She got in and told the driver the specific address.
— Highgate. —A guy in his thirties whistled. — This is the neighborhood of the rich. My sister used to clean for one celebrity. This model, Kate Moss.
—Was Kate Moss paying her well?— Danielle asked, and the driver snorted.
— Are you kidding me? Mrs. Moss is a terrible stiff. They are all like that.
