—Hallie is in good hands — he whispered. — David will gladly drive you to your parents.

—I'm taking a cab — she said. —But it's nice you offer me David.

—As you like — he replied, and suddenly released her. —I'll go to him.

When he left, he didn't even look at her. He closed the door quietly and she took a deep breath.

He knows I didn't tell him the truth.

Then she bent down and picked up the cosmetics that had fallen off the counter. She noticed her hands were shaking.

When she had collected everything and put it back in its place, she adjusted her makeup once more. Then she picked up her purse and checked where George, David and Hallie were as she left the room. She found them in the living room - when she said goodbye to them, she hugged her daughter for a longer time.

She felt George watching her closely. When she released Hallie, she said:

— Watch her, George. You know she's my eye in my head.

—Of course, sweetheart — he said, and met her eyes intensely. David noticed it as well. Danielle smiled forcibly, and after saying goodbye, she was relieved to leave Highgate.

A group of fans stood at the gate, some greeted her warmly and others ignored her. She didn't care - the taxi was waiting for her. As she disappeared inside, she took a deep breath. She gave the taxi driver the name of the street and set off.

She didn't know George was watching her from the window. His lovelies got hysterical when they saw their idol appear at the window. But he wasn't looking at them - the most important thing for him was Danielle and the inconvenient truth that she had deceived him. She cheated on him in such a trivial matter.

After the driver drove her to Riley's father's house, Danielle paid for the course, and as she got out, she headed for the yellow low building.

When she reached the front door, she rang the bell and waited. The door was opened by Riley, who squealed like a little girl at the sight of her and hugged Danielle tightly.

Danielle did the same, and Riley pulled her inside after a while. Then she looked at her and said:

— You haven't changed, honey. God, how long have we not seen each other? 5 years?

— There will be something like this — Danielle smiled back. — Riley, I missed you terribly.

—So do I. — Riley pulled her inside the house. —You must meet my husband and my daughter. You already know dad and sister.

—Yes.— Danielle laughed and felt relaxed. She always felt comfortable in Riley's house, and her parents, including her late mother, were normal and laid back.

The meeting was nice - Ray, Riley's husband, although he was not particularly attractive, turned out to be a nice guy, and their daughter Kelly was a little lovely girl.

—We're surprised you're in a relationship with George Michael — Mr. Blair, Riley's father said. —I don't want to be nosy, but is it hard to live with a star under one roof?

—George is a nice and normal guy — Danielle said carefully. — You see his creation on stage, and when he comes off the stage he is a typical British guy who loves dogs and strong English tea.

— How did you get to know him? — Laurie, Riley's sister asked. — Quite soon after you arrived in Britain, actually.

—George is my brother's friend — Danielle replied. —Dante is gay.
