A strange phenomena happened.
A golden phoenix and a royal purple dragon flew in the azure blue skies between the Phoenix Kingdom and the Dragon kingdom with grace and harmony.
It was such a rare sight. No one has ever seen them dancing in the skies together again after a thousand years not even the ancient shamans, who had communicated with the eldest phoenixes and dragons in their lifetimes. Due to this phenomena, news started spreading like wildfire -- to the main land Animalia, Elemental Kingdom, Spiritual Kingdom, even Heaven and Hell knows about it.
Then, it happened.
The phoenix and the dragon suddenly separated themselves and circled around an area near the Royal Palace of the Phoenixes, and with a ear piercing screech, they started to glow, and each round they shone brighter, till they were brighter than the sun. As they screeched and glowed, everyone was nearly blinded in the Phoenix kingdom and repeatedly shouted "Stop!" as they shut their eyes and covered their ears in agony. It lasted for some minutes...
Crash!
The light slowly died down, and the screeches stopped in a flash.
Everyone squinted their eyes open to check the last of the bright light, and opened their eyes to see the worst of the worst.
Whitish grey smoke emitting from the Royal Palace garden floated aimlessly into the sky, slowly being dismissed as the gardens started to become visibly clear. All the people started to crowd outside the gardens, knowing that if they stepped even a small inch into the gardens, they would be pushed back by the palace guards.
Just then, the sound of a new life shocked everyone.
"Wah! Wah!"
Immediately, the King and Queen of the Palace rushed out to the scene and the guards were pointing their sword towards the sound. Slowly pacing themselves cautiously, they stepped forward and tried not to panic.
The crying became louder and louder as they moved, and when nothing happened, they lowered their sword to their waist and tried to move the debris that was affecting the sound, and with great effort, struggled to lift a huge boulder off.
As soon as they had taken a glance on what was underneath the boulder, the crowd immediately wondered what was under it and kept whispering to one another.
"It's something blue!"
"It's alive!"
"There are some feathers in there!"
When the boulder was almost lifted off, a lady who was wearing a purple dress with an emerald necklace happened to take a glance with her sharp eyes and with an alarmed tone, she announced,"No, no! It's a phoenix! A baby phoenix!"
All the villagers gasped in shock upon hearing her words. She was right.
An azure blue feathered phoenix was curled in a ball, wailing loudly despite its beak was hidden in its chest, also blocking its eyes from the light. Its aura had dissipated as soon as the boulder was lifted off, and when it tried to move, it was nothing but a small budge.
Some of the people awed at the sight of the whole baby phoenix, some just comtinued to gasp woth anxiety.
The lady, who had guessed it right, ran into the garden and bowed to the King and Queen.
"Pardon me for my impertinence, Your Majesties. I believe this baby phoenix needs someone to be taken good care of," she said in a soft and melodious tone. She bowed again and this time she carefully went to the baby phoenix. With careful and tender hands, she carried the baby phoenix and gently caressed it with her warm hand.
To everyone's surprise and delight, the baby phoenix stopped crying and began to show a cheerful smile towards the lady. As it continued to smile, the small little creature suddenly changed its form. From its small wings, blunt claws and feathers, it changed into baby hands, baby feet and a luxurious velvet blue cloth draped over its smooth skin. Then, the baby opened its eyes, still pinkish from its sob just now, but its eyes were an innocent colour of cyan.
The Queen immediately smiled and knew that the baby will be properly tended to and smiled,"Well, Audric, to think that a charmed lady would brighten up this little child."
"Yes Ariana, I believe that this madam here would be obliged to raise this baby," the King smiled in return, before turning nack to the lady, who was waiting for his response.
"Would you, in our honour, raise this young and take good care of it?"
"I do," the lady bowed down to the King, and with that, the people who were silenced suddenly cheered with joy and elation, for the lady, who was courageous enough to take the responsibility, had saved the day.
And so, the life of the young girl began...
