A month later...

"All students please get onto the ship, we are ready to set sail!" An announcement blared out from a loudspeaker stand as students lined in a single file and walked through the ship entrance.

Seclinette, Persperphone, Mirage, Katlyn and Liana were seating near to the windows of the left ship, chatting about the place that they were going.

" Golden Phoenix Stadium is one of the legendary stadiums in Phoenix Kingdom!" Katlyn squealed, "I can't wait to get there!"

"Chill Katlyn, we've still time," Liana and Mirage consoled, before resting at their seats.

Seclinette and Persperphone had brought Kameko with them, with the permission of the headmaster.

"Kameko, are you excited about going to the Golden Phoenix Stadium?" Seclinette asked, patting its head. Kameko nodded its head and wagged its tail.

"Aw, Kameko is so cute!" Persperphone slapped both of her hands on her face with a million dollar smile.

"Everyone please settle down. We are ready to set sail!" The announcement said as the ship started to move.

"I guess I could use a little sleep," Mirage yawned before resting.

No one noticed on the top of the ship were two black hooded people.

As the students in the boat continued chating with one another, a loud feminine sound blared from a loud speaker.

"Hello everybody! My name is Hermaine, and I'll be your host for our first school tournament!

"While we are on our way to the Golden Phoenix Stadium, I will be informing you about the rules and regulations..."

"I just cannot wait!" Katlyn squealed.

"Shh, listen!" Mirage crossed her arms.

"Each of your tournament passes have a number which will allocate you to your group. There will be a total of 8 groups, and each group consists of 16 people. The winner of each group will fight in the semi-finals, and the last four standing will battle against one another in a large arena!"

All the students cheered as they were all hyped for the oncoming tournament.

"A total of 128 students will be fighting in the stadium," Liana calculated, "It's probably going to take a few days to complete the whole tournament!"

"Oh no, how are we going to change into new clothes when we are full of sweat and dirt?!" Persperphone cringed.

"Don't worry, the teachers will prepare neccessities for us during our stay," Mirage answered, fidgeting to her comfort.

"Oh thank god," Persperphone sighed with relief.

"The winner of the tournament gets to receive the Rainbow Shuriken!"

Everybody gasped and looked at one another with shock.

"Why are the students behaving like that?" Seclinette asked in confusion.

"That's the legendary Rainbow Shuriken; the shuriken which has the power of Eight Elements!" Liana explained, her eyes still wide, "The Rainbow Shuriken has eight blades, each of which contains an element. Whoever gains that weapon will have ultimate power and is undefeatable!"

Wow, Seclinette thought before asking again, "What are the elements in that shuriken?"

"It consists of fire, light, lightning, nature, water, psychic, wind and darkness."

"Whoa," Seclinette's mouth formed an 'O',"That shuriken is indeed powerful!"

"And colourful too," Liana chuckled.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are reaching the G.P.S., so get ready to alight!" The final announcement rang before there was a moment of silence.

The ship slowed down to a halt as it reached the harbour.

The students were led to the entrance of the Golden Phoenix.

The stadium had a Roman-like feature, with two columns of arc windows, separated by long horizontal bricks and lined up side by side. The rims of the large cylinder stood two golden phoenixes opposite each other, with their wings spreaded out and facing the sky.

"I've never thought this place was so... majestic..." Persperphone couldn't help but awe at its beauty.

"It truly is pretty, isn't it?" Mirage asked, "That stadium has been there since more than a hundred years ago!"

"It's quite durable of it to last this long." Seclinette looked at the cracks that can be seen from the smooth walls of the stadium.

"Students, welcome to the grand Golden Phoenix Stadium. My name is Brave, and I will be your guide during your stay here." A topless man, tanned and musculat, wore a toothed necklace and feathered headband.

"Where are all the other teachers?" A student asked.

"Don't worry, they will be reaching here in thirty minutes." Brave looked up to the sun and said, "But before your teachers arrive, let's give you students a tour."

"Looks like they're gone," the black hooded person murmured.

"My Lord, now it's my time to leave right?" A shorter version of the black hooded person asked.

"Yes child, yes," he answered before his ally vanished into thin air.

They've already seen my face, those girls, the black hooded man thought and hissed in annoyance, but I have a plan to get closer to her and find out more...

"And this," Brave led the students to a big round arena, "is the place where our tournaments, battles and performances await you!"

All the students awed as they were mesmerised by the grand sight before them. There were four gate entrances to the large circular ground, and a wall about four metres tall surrounded the circumference of the arena to prevent anyone from falling out of the arena. Right on top of the baricades were none other than the spectators' seats.

"I'm starting to like this stadium," Katlyn looked above, the blue skies that is cut by a round circle with two phoenixes standing on it.

"Yeah, but we still have to prepare for tomorrow. The tournament begins right in the afternoon," Seclinette spoke, "besides I wonder who else stays here?"

"That's me and the rest of my family," Brave explained, "Other phoenixians also live here. We belong to a tribe where we take care of the Golden Phoenix Stadium, as our ancestors were the ones who built this stadium, a long time ago."

"Cool, how old is-" Seclinette was about to ask Brave when a sound echoed out behind the students.

"Sorry I'm late!"
