It was another night in the Encanto, and the whole village were at the casita for the annual celebration of the day the miracle was given to the Madrigals, all those years ago.

A few weeks prior, you'd struck up a conversation with Bruno Madrigal whom had returned to the family just 2 years ago after a decade of being missing. Ever since your first meeting, you two had been crossing paths and having little chats here and there.

You were growing fond of him, and it seemed you were in his eye-line too.

It was halfway through the night, and you hadn't seen Bruno yet. You had a couple drinks in you, and you were chatting away to one of the men around your age from the village. He was boring, just flirting AT you more than.. with you.

You giggled at his jokes; might as well keep him entertained.

"Heyyyy, y/n!" the Madrigal known as Bruno stumbled into the room, more than a little drunk. He walked over to you and the village man. "Bruno- are you drunk?" you held him up as he stumbled toward you.

Completely ignoring your question, he wedged himself between you and the man, turning his back to you.

"S-So you are?" he stuttered, the alcohol in his system making him mess his words up.

The village man leaned against the wall. "My name is Ale-" he was briskly cut off.

"Yeah- yes, Alejandro I know, god." Bruno pointed an accusing finger at Alejandro. "I've seen you speaking to her, allllllll night." he pointed back at you, slurring his words.

"Thats none of your concern, Madrigal." he scoffed.

"Bruno-" you were quickly shushed by his hand.

"I believe it is, gOmeZ." Bruno mocked Ale's use of his last name with a swoosh of his hand in the air, mimicking talking.

"Really? Because if you look into one of your little visions you'll see me banging her instead of you." Alejandro began to chuckle but was swiftly cut off with a fist to his face, making him fall over from the unexpected impact.

Everyone in the room had been preoccupied until now, when multiple gasps were heard as Ale tried to recover himself.

"Fuck- fuck you, disrespect her again and I'll dislocate you fucking-   jaw? I don't fucking know but you'll hear a goddamn crunch you piece of shit." Bruno stepped back, looking at everyone in the room that had gone silent.

Pretty quickly, they all resumed whatever they were doing; leaving this between the two men to resolve.

You stood in shock, you'd never seen Bruno be violent-  or drunk for that matter. He was usually a very friendly and awkward man but it's like a switch in his brain was flipped.

"C'mon Bruno lets get you cleaned up.." you linked your arm with his, guiding him out of the room up the staircase and to his tower.

You pushed the glowing door open, pulling the drunken Madrigal behind you. 

After casita fell 2 years ago, Bruno's room had remodelled into a more comfortable living space. He now had a large bed, regular furniture- but still his patch of sand remained for when he required it for having his visions.
