After a particularly rough session, Bruno decided it was best for me to stay in bed.

I couldn't really argue, seeing as my legs were somewhat immobilised.

Bundled up in our shared duvet, I felt safe. Bruno always wrapped me up like this, he felt it was the best course of action. I had to agree there.

My eyes felt heavy, letting myself melt into the warmth of the linen sheets.

Just then, our bedroom door opened.

"Mi vida, I got you some water." He spoke softly, closing the door gently as to not make a loud noise.

I smiled, letting my eyes fix on my husband making his way over to me.

He had his hair up, sleeves rolled up and poncho off. He didn't bother putting it back on after our little evening activity.

Bruno sat on the bed, unwrapping the blankets enough so he could hand me a small wooden cup filled with water.

I gratefully accepted it, giving him a peck of appreciation on his cheek.

I took a sip, letting the liquid wash away my slight feeling of dehydration.

Fucking took a lot of energy.

He leant up against the headboard, with me scooting over to sit beside him.

"You feelin' okay?" He rubbed circles on my exposed thigh, and I nodded happily.

All I was wearing was one of his shirts, top buttons undone. It sat nicely on me, covering my ass sort of like a short dress.

I felt comfortable.

"Is your neck okay?" He brought a hand to my throat, grazing the slight redness of it.

"Yes amor, it doesn't hurt." I giggled, bringing his hand up to my cheek.

He offered a soft smile before kissing me on my forehead.

Although we got a bit intense during sex, these after moments were the highlight of it.

Just the sheer love, nothing impure. Just the feeling of his fingers running along my cheeks so delicately.

There was something so absorbing about being loved.

I never wanted this feeling to end.

"I love you, y/n." he cupped my cheek, watching
my relaxed face. "I love you t-"

"No, let me finish." He smirked, shaking his head.

"You're the most beautiful thing I've ever laid my eyes on. I'm so lucky to wake up next to you every day, and I am so lucky that one day I will get to start a family with you."

He bit his cheek.

"I love you now and I will love you always. Never forget that."

I couldn't help but smile like an idiot. I set the cup down, bringing both my hands up to his cheeks.

With a giggle, I pulled him into a kiss. He more than happily returned my action, pecking at my lips and face with a grin.

We ended up on our sides, legs intertwined with my head resting on his chest.

I want to stay here forever, my ear pressed against his heartbeat.

So calm.

So happy.
