Lucy and Hanna rushed up the stairs when they reached a gate. A barrier of light shielded both sides of it. The gold shimmered off the gates when a pair of angels blocked them off. The two held shields and spears while they stepped forward.

"Halt there! Who is attempting to enter the sixth block? We had no report of visitors at this hour of the day!" One in red yelled. "So vacate the area and return to whence you came."

"Uh, what my partner said." The one in yellow added. "You should go back to the waiting district and uh wait." He chuckled.

Hanna waved to the two guards.
"We're on a quest to meet your higher-ups. I think you should let us enter to avoid any cause for violence." He smiled.

"Yeah, listen to him." Lucy rubbed down her arm. "We really don't want to make you regret being guards here."

"Listen here, cast out." The red one stomped toward Lucy. "We don't just let anyone enter these gates. Especially someone like you." They said with a scowl.

Lucy stood in the angel's face as their chests pressed up against each other.
"Hey, missy! What are you getting at here with calling me cast out?" She asked.

The male guard laughed out loud.
"Fallen angels like you don't deserve the respect given like other angels. You lost your honor the moment those wings turned black!"

"Erik, shut your mouth." The angel replied. "And let me handle this problem." She huffed.

"Oops, sorry Yala. I'll just pretend I'm watching the birds then." Erik squinted his eyes and whistled a tune.

Yala rolled her eyes and pushed Lucy back with the shield.
"Now do me a favor and scram, cast out. Your threats won't deter me from blocking off the sixth block from filth."

Lucy's body surged with energy as she clenched her fist.
"Okay, I won't feel so bad once I kick your ass! And why does being a fallen angel cause such a nasty reaction?"

"Because you're corrupt, impure, and a virus that needs to be eradicated." Yala lowered the shield and raised her lance. Light energy surrounded her body as both wings extended. "I'll gladly destroy a fallen angel any day of the year!" Yala shouted.

"I'll stay out of this fight to avoid being an unintentional obstacle. You can do this Lucy!" Hanna yelled out. He backflipped on the stairs when Erik stood in his way.

"I can't let you go anywhere, lady." Erik aimed his spear at him. "Also because Yala hates me helping."

Hanna tilted his head.
"Lady? I'm afraid you are mistaken." He retrieved a blaster from his leg strap. His hands clenched down on the weapon when he fired a laser. "Most people do confuse me for a girl though." Hanna chuckled.

Erik blinked.
"What? I don't know what you're saying. A tomboy is still a girl regardless." He used his shield to block the laser.

"Uh, nevermind." Hanna soon fired another one at him. Lucy and Yala clashed above them as the two angels traded blows. Light energy flew out like sparks while Lucy's energy dispersed on contact.

"You sound just like those angels who wiped my city out." Lucy dented her shield with a solid punch. "I don't know why I thought we could talk this through." She spun back and struck the spear with her other fist.

Yala skidded across the air.
"So what if I do? I'm a guard and I work under Asmodel. His views and ours are alike!" She quickly tossed the spear toward her as red lightning followed.

The fallen angel clenched her teeth.
"That bastard murdered my parents. They didn't do anything to deserve being killed like that!?" She smacked the spear straight into the air. Lightning zapped her before she fell to the stairs and groaned.
