Chapter 9

I reached his cabin and knocked, and then went inside when he signalled me to.

"Here's your tea sir....." I said handing him the cup of tea.

"And your card," I continued.

"Did you buy coffee for yourself?" he asked me looking into a file.

"Yes sir, I did. Thank you so much," I smiled and thanked him.

He nodded after which I went to my cabin to finish off my work as fast as I could so that I can leave office on time. I started doing what I was told to, and after maybe some hours I completed all my work. I felt relieved as I finished my work just on time. I packed my things up and went outside only to meet my boss. Why does this fellow person appear wherever I go?

"You're going Ms. Jung?" he asked taping the lift's button.

"Yes sir," I spoke not wanting to interact more with him.

The lift opened and we went inside. The whole building was empty except for the security guard. There was a very awkward silence in the lift which I actually hated. I felt like rushing out of this building as fast as I could.

As soon as the lift opened I rushed outside and waited for Taehyung to go away in his car. But instead I heard the sound of a horn. There he is...

"It's kinda unsafe for girls to travel alone. So I thought if you would want to join me in my car ride, I'll drop you off," he said, sitting in his Lamborghini.

Unsafe? Me? I've fought over thousands of these 'late night perverts'. But of course he doesn't know, what I am.

"Thank you for your kindness, but I don't think I need your help. I'm actually used to this," I replied.

He was about to insist but I gave him a small nod assuring him that I'll be fine. He just smiled and went.

I took my Bluetooth headphones out, and connected it with my phone to listen to some music, as I knew I'll be bored walking for too long.

After a good thirty minutes of walking and listening to music, I finally reached my home.

Home sweet home. Oh, how much I missed it!

I went inside only to receive a very warm hug from, of course, my sunshine, my Hobi oppa. I smiled and hugged him back.

"Hey! Sit here. I need to have a talk with you," he motioned his hands towards the couch signalling me to sit and I did.

"Is it something serious? Don't scare me oppa," I said feeling nervous at the sudden meeting.

"Listen, I know you will be a bit sad but I have to tell you this. I have to go to Jeju Island for a very important mission. You'll have to stay alone, but don't worry. I know you're my super sister who says 'ghosts are my brothers and sisters'," he said faking a smile.

"A bit sad?! I'm devastated! How can you leave me all alone? That's not fair! Please don't go!" I pleaded him hoping that he'll somehow stay but I guess...

"I too don't wanna leave you, but there's nothing I can do. Please understand."

...I was wrong.

I stood up losing to him and went towards my room. I got changed and went to bed.

As usual, I started over thinking, feeling cozy on my bed. That person, Kim Taehyung. Why is he so kind to me? I mean, Jimin told me that he's a very cold person and has trust issues. Well he is cold but trust issues? Nah. If he would have trust issues, he would never hand me his credit card which contains millions and millions of money just to purchase coffee. He's weird from head to toe.
