Chapter 12

"Y/N?"

"Oh. H-hi," I stammered.

"Why are you so shocked in seeing me here," he smirked.

"I d-don't know," I replied. He then came closer and held my hand.

"Come on," Taehyung nodded, "We'll go together." He practically dragged me to his car and made me sit there. I didn't mind going with him but— wait. Y/N, you hate him! How can you not mind him being around you?!! He helped kill your parents!

I looked at his eyes. He was driving, with his eyes fixed on the road. Why was he doing this? Why me? Why him out of all people? Why do I feel so calm with him? He was helping me, right? Or is it a bribe?

His car stopped in front of the company, breaking my confusions. I got out of the car, and Taehyung got out too. But then he grabbed my hand and took me to a room. I read the sign.

Storage room

He let go of my hand inside and locked the door behind him. He then came closer to me. I went back, trying to figure out what he was trying to do.

"T-taehyung w-what are you d-doing?" I stammered as I felt a wall behind me. He came closer and gently grabbed my shoulders. His face came closer to mine. I didn't know what to do, or how to act. I just stayed still. He came closer to my ear and whispered, "You want your punishment?"

I flinched and my eyes widened. My face flushed red, as he smirked.

"Umm...no?" I replied, not sure of what to say.

"Okay then. Since you're my favorite secretary, I'll let you off the hook," he seemed satisfied with my reaction.

Favorite secretary?! How many secretaries does he even have? Jin oppa and me. That's it!

"Just come to my house today after work," he continued, breaking my thoughts. "That's your part of the punishment."

He tossed me a key and said, "Here's the key if I'm not home." He then kissed my forehead and left the room.

I just stood there, looking in front of me as the door closed.

What just happened? Did he just...kiss me?! What is he trying to show? Affection? What is going on in the mind. And why does he think that his keys will be safe with me? Why does he trust me, when I want to kill him. Why is he making this mission harder than it already is?

Jimin P.O.V.

"Jin hyung! You okay?" I asked as I brought him his medicine.

"I don't wanna drink this poison!" He whined.

"How many times do I have to tell you that it isn't poison??!" I rolled my eyes at him.

"But it tastes like poison," hyung argued.

"If you'd ever tasted poison in your life, then you'd have been dead by now," I said and made him drink the medicine. "You don't know how hard I'd had to beg Taehyung for a leave today."

"He'd have given it to you anyways, Jiminie. You just made your job harder. He's my brother. He can't argue with me, you know."

I just went back to my room. All hyung's been getting from this being 'sick' business is care, love and people like me running around him doing things for him. Aish! Why do I even care for him?

Unknown P.O.V.

I sat at a café for breakfast. I ordered a cup of coffee. Why would they just throw be out without even giving me any money?! I know I caused some problems back home, but I don't think I deserved this.

Where does she live? The last time I met her was years ago. I've changed. I don't cause problems anymore. I am not that same person I was before.

And where does that hyung live? It's been long since I haven't been to Seoul, and I don't think my pocket money can last me long.

Taehyung P.O.V.

I gasped and entered my office. What just got into me? Why can't I just tell her my feelings? She makes me feel something different. Something I haven't felt before.

She feels so important to me, and whenever I'm around her, I feel like I have value. I want to keep her with me forever, but I just can't let her know that.

I don't think she likes me, as always, but I just like it how she reacts whenever I'm around her.

I just act cold around her for some reason, because I don't know how else to act. But she has that same bold personality which she had back in school. She still has Jimin like before, and she seems to have gotten close with Jin hyung too. But what about me?

Y/N, don't leave me stranded.

Y/N P.O.V

I completed checking the papers and placed them in a stack. It was late, but I needed to complete this work today. I went to Taehyung's office give him the papers, but he wasn't there. I placed them in the table and left.

It was already starting to get dark when I left. I walked to Taehyung's house, which was a large building somewhat beside the company. For some reason Jin oppa doesn't live there.

I went to the front and entered the huge gate. There was a fingerprint scanner, so I placed my finger there, and to my surprise, the door opened. There was a large hallway inside. I went to the door in the front which looked like a gate of a mansion.

Since I already had a key, I decided to open the door by myself. Who knows? Maybe he's not home.

I opened the lock with a click and opened the door. His house was humongous. It made Hoseok oppa and my house look like an ant in front of an elephant.

I closed the door behind me and walked in. The whole living room was empty with a big couch and chairs and tables and stuff. Maybe he really wasn't home. I went in further and found another living room with a couch and a TV in the front.

But then I realized that the TV was on. And then I saw something. That something was a man. The man was eating popcorn in front of the TV. And that man was Kim Taehyung.
