All three of them approach the quiet house. Felix holds Hyunjin's hand tightly. He never thought that having someone near would help this much. He has always been an independent soul, sleeping with girls and leaving, helping people in need. But this time... he has someone to help him, hold him in his place. And that's something precious. Elara places her hand on the handle and Felix nods. They can finally save their mother. They made it! Through fire and water, they made it. Elara breathes in, a smile appearing on her face as she opens the door. Felix knows that Elara is grateful for her life in this house. She is thankful to Adhara. She loves her just like her mother and nothing could change it. Her smile suggesting 'Mother! Your children came home' brings happiness to Felix, but what he sees next hits him like a fist in his stomach. Elara stops too in the door frame, petrified, unable to move a muscle while Hyunjin gulps, trying to avoid pulling Felix into a tight hug. The poor man doesn't need a hug right now, he needs answers. Felix drops his bag on the floor, tears forming in the corner of his eyes as he looks around.

The house is almost beyond recognition. It appears as if some kind of storm destroyed even the last crumb of life in this cottage. The bedsheets are torn apart and thrown on the wooden floor, the pots, glasses and dishes are out of the cupboard and shattered all over the place, the furniture is vandalized, literally: the sink is broken, the mirror that was once placed above it hanging from one corner, the curtains that were supposed to cover the window that is facing the forest on the right side of the house are torn apart, papers and writing instruments are on the floor, blue ink staining the carpet. It looks like a war has begun and ended tragically here. The only piece of furniture that is still intact is the table. Felix walks closer to it and wishes he never left. He wishes he never left his home. A note left on the table. A note which was supposed to let him know what happened, but Felix didn't even need to look at it as the dagger implanted in the note confirmed his theories. A white dragon wrapped around the handle of the dagger and he knows. The White Dragon Assassins. He knows what happened before even reading the note. He has been part of the White Dragon guild, he wore the badge of a skilled assassin and a white veil covered his face. He snatches the dagger from the table and throws it on the floor, picking up the note with a trembling hand. He's trembling both because he is anxious and because he is angry. Angry with himself. He forces himself to read the note without starting to cry.

We have what Ares protected desperately. At least your father tried, you literally pushed her in front of us like a gift when you left her alone and helpless inside the house.

He looks at the signature stamp before squeezing the note in his hand. The stamp of the guild. A simple and sophisticated stamp at the same time. The Yin and Yang symbol surrounded by two ugly white dragons, the details combining and blooming in a horrendous picture, most probably painted by one of the talented assassins.
