"You're lucky Birdie."
Ran leaned his arms on her hospital bed watching her with sleepy lavender eyes.
"Only got away with a broken rib."

"What did he want with you again?"
Rin sat on the opposite side of her bed, looking out the large window that overlooked Tokyo.

"Him and I worked together and he kept trying to make advances on me but I would shut him down every-time..so he planned to have his friends restrain me while he...you know.."
She trailed off, looking out the window too, Ran watching the side of her face, he was happy he beat all three of the guys half to death.

Rin on the other hand-wished he stayed to cave in a face or two, breaking just one guy's arm wasn't enough to punish them.

"Where did you work?"
Ran decided to ask.

"A bar in Shibuya on the weekends. I was a waitress and he was a DJ."
She stretched as she sat up.
"You two don't have to stay with me you know..thank you both again for your help."

The brothers looked at each other and then they looked up at Sunni, watching her eyes move from one brother to the other.

"Actually Sunni, we wanted to ask you something."
Rin stood up from the bed, walking to the window and opening it, the cool breeze brushing through his blonde and blue hair, he glanced back at her.
"Let's stick together-just the three of us. You are safe with Ran and I."

Her eyes widened a bit, she looked over to Ran who slowly stood up as well, smiling down at her warmly.
"We will protect you at all costs Birdie~"

"You two..why?"

"Hmm? We have to have a reason?"
Rin tilted his head to the left slightly,

"Is 'because we want to' a good enough reason?"
Ran asked.

She was confused but happy they wouldn't just leave her alone. She felt nervous around them-sure, but also very safe despite witnessing how violent they could be.

They wouldn't hurt her-she didn't think so anyway..so she would see where their friendships would go and nodded in agreement at the brothers' proposal.

"So you live here..? This is a pretty unsafe neighborhood actually."
Ran followed behind Sunni as they all entered her apartment.

"Hmm? Why?"

"It's Valhalla's turf, have you seen a lot of fights lately?"
Rin sat on the couch, watching as Sunni took Ran's jacket off-slightly jealous since he didn't wear one so she wouldn't help him.

"Yes actually, I know a few of the boys in several gangs around the area. Some of them are super young.."
Sunni sat across from the two, crossing one leg over the other as they spoke.
"Sanzu has to be a favorite of mine actually, he belongs to Toman I believe? I always have to tend to the boy's wounds."

"You know Sanzu?"
Rin raised his eyebrows.

"He actually came to Bonten recently with us."
Ran smiled a bit.

(In this-Bonten exists as if it were apart of the 'current' timeline-The Haitani brothers being the leaders/Everyone also looks like they are from the 'current/past' timeline as well-for now)

"Oh really? That is why he hasn't been by in-"
A knock came at the door and Sunni stood up, walking to check who it was, and speak of the devil, there he was.

"Zu Zu, it has been a while."
She hugged him, the brothers felt clouded with jealousy at the sight but bit their tongues, Ran smiling as Sanzu made his way to the second couch with Sunni.

"I didn't know you two knew Sunni too?"
Sanzu looked at the brothers with a bit of surprise.

"We met her a few days ago, how come you never introduced us all to each other Sanzu?"
Ran smirked,

"I didn't think I had to. Sunni just takes care of me on occasion. Now you two know I guess?"

Sunni watched as the boys chatted, the brothers showing a slight possession over the girl but they could mask it pretty well with a joking manor, Sanzu could see right through it though, looking at his watch after they had gone quiet.

"I'll visit another time, I'm sorry I haven't been by in a bit. I just wanted you to know I'm alright."
Sanzu tousled Sunni's fluffy mess of blonde hair before standing up, she went to follow him to the door but Ran took her hand before she walked past,

"I'm sorry to be selfish but where is the bathroom?"

Sanzu had left out the door and Sunni looked down at Ran and nodded,
"Down the hall to the left..the second door."

"Thank you."
He smiled innocently and followed her directions, Rin looking up at her as she stood watching Ran,

"Are you okay?"

"I don't know actually..maybe I should turn in for today. I'll be in my room, stay as long as you two would like..."
And she walked down the hall to her bedroom, leaving the door open just in case the brothers needed anything.
