"You haven't answered my calls or texts in days and all of a sudden you want me to move in with you?"
"I told you I was working with Dmitri until he told me about he's old friend Daniel."
"First you lie to me then expect me to just move in with you. I don't need you to protect me Kofi I just need you to answer your phone when I call," I snapped walking away towards my room.
Inanna had left to get some groceries with some of the guards. So I was here by myself until Kofi came.
It's been three day since Dmitri told us about Daniel coming back. He sent a lot of Russian guards to come and protect us.
We haven't had guards "protect" us since we became assassins. We've been training to protect ourselves since our parents died and now we need guards because of a jealous old friend.
"Don't walk away when I'm talking to you!"
"You are not my father Kofi. Stop talking to me like you are!"
"Hey, why are you guys yelling," Inanna asked, walking through the doorway with grocery bags.
"I need to talk to you and your sister about something. Here, let me take those bags."
He grabbed the bags out of her hands and placed them in the kitchen. Inanna looked at me with confusion written all over her face.
Someone knocked on the door and Inanna walked to open it.
"Who is it?"
"Lorenzo."
She opened the door and let Lorenzo in.
"Did you come to say the same things as Kofi?"
"What is going on?"
"This Daniel is after you and your sister. I know you can protect yourselves but it wouldn't feel right if we sat here and did nothing."
I stared at Kofi as his face held no emotion. There's something they aren't telling us.
"What aren't you tellin-"
Gunshots stopped my sentence and Kofi ran towards me.
"We need to get going now!"
Lorenzo grabbed Inanna's hand and pulled her towards the back. Kofi and I followed behind them.
Before walking out of the backdoor I made sure to grab the guns behind the refrigerator.
"Они прямо здесь!" (They are right here!)
Bullets flew past us as we ran towards our car.
Kofi and Lorenzo shot back as we unlocked the car doors.
A ticking sound came from the car as soon as we opened the car door.
Bomb
"Run, it's a bomb."
I grabbed Inanna's hand and we ran, I shot a couple men in the hand as we ran towards our backup car.
I ran to the driver side and opened the door, I waited a couple of seconds to make sure there wasn't any ticking.
"Get in!"
Everyone got in the car and sped off driving as far away from the house as I could.
Maybe I underestimated this Daniel man a lot.

"Maybe we should split up or something."
We're now at one of the guy's safe houses.
"Are you sure you want to split up when a crazy man is trying to kill us right now?"
"I mean if we are together it would be easier for him to get us in one swipe."
"Maybe the adrendile is going to your brain right now and you aren't thinking straight, Inanna. We aren't splitting up," I snapped.
"How about we all calm down and take a few minutes to get ourselves together," Kofi insisted.
"Kofi you see this shit! Non posso credere a quel traditore," Lorenzo shouted. (I can't believe that traitor!"
He tossed the phone to Kofi and scoffed.
I wondered what pissed him off.
"Christian è andato a letto con November per tutto questo tempo e sta lavorando con la mafia americana." (Christian has been sleeping with November this whole time and is working with the American mafia.)
I knew there was a reason I didn't like Christian.
"Maybe that's why he disappeared right after November."
"He hated November though. So, it was an act for me to break up with her so he can have her for himself."
"Maybe, he should've been the actor inside of her," I mumbled to myself.
"È un uomo morto." (He's a dead man)
I guess we're going to have to kill a lot of people in the future.
