"Erzaa! Stop polishing your swords!" Lucy smacked Erza's shoulder, rushing her for work. "My babies are rusting!" Erza sarcastically cried, polishing harder. "Dude, you are turning like Bickslow, you know?" Levy added in. "Meh, fine," Erza finally gave in as she did not want to be a creepy idiot like Bickslow, a guy they met at Magnolia High. They quickly stuffed their work uniform into their bags and sped off to the nightclub bar.
"Huff... Reached on time..." Lucy panted, hands on her knees. "Let's *pant* enter the bar... *pant*" Erza said, receiving a nod from both Levy and Lucy. They entered the nightclub bar. "Hi!" Mirajane smiled widely, waving. The trio waved back before leaving to go to the changing room.
After changing into work uniform, they went to work. Mirajane suddenly called out to the trio, "Ah! Erza, Levy and Lucy, please come here for a second." They went to meet Mirajane. "Yes, Mira-chan?" Levy asked politely. "Aa, you see... my boyfriend, Laxus (A/N: AWWWW, Laxus X Mirajane) is coming back from an overseas business trip today. I really want to..." "Sure. Go ahead, we'll clean up the cups and rest, you leave first." Erza said and Lucy gave her a wink.
"You know what I mean..." Lucy smirked at the blushing Mirajane. "Nuh!" She retorted, running to the changing room as she shouted a note of thanks to them.
"Guys, we'll be leaving at estimated... 2 a.m. or so." Erza calculated. "Jeez, my beauty sleep time..." Lucy complained, tapping gently on her cheeks. It was 11p.m. already. Just then, the bar doors opened. It was Natsu and four other people. Eh? No, make it five other people. A blue-haired girl was hiding behind a raven-haired guy...
"Hi Natsu, who are these... four - no, five people?" Lucy pointed at the other five people. Levy and Erza were washing the wine glasses. "Hi Luce! These five? Introduce yourselves!" Natsu demanded. "Don't call me Luce, pinky." Lucy replied. "Friends... remember?" Oh, yeah. Lucy recalled. "Fineeee, Luce that is." Lucy pouted and puffed her cheeks.
"Oh? Who is this beauty right here?" An orange-haired guy wearing spectacles stepped in front of Lucy, kissing her hand. "Eek! Uh, Lucy and... my hand..." Lucy looked away, blushing. "How pure, my princess." The orange-haired guy continued, "Loke is my name." "Nice to meet you, L-Loke..." Lucy stuttered.
"How kawaii~ (cute)" Loke fangirled in front of Lucy. "Um, thanks..." Lucy replied, raising an eyebrow. "I'm Gray, this stalker behind me is Juvia." The raven-haired guy, Gray, said, grinning at Lucy. The blue-haired girl who was shyly behind Gray suddenly leapt up and shouted in Lucy's ears, "JUVIA'S LOVE RIVAL!" Lucy rubbed her ears... "I don't like Gray, if that's what you wanted-" "STILL!" Juvia screamed louder. Lucy rubbed her ears again as the rest sympathized on Lucy's poor eardrums.
"Juvia, come back here." Gray said sternly, as if Juvia was a dog. Juvia happily skipped back to Gray. "Jellal." The blue-haired guy said, expressionless. Erza suddenly ran towards him from the counter and touched the tattoo on his face.
The expressionless guy suddenly started blushing as he grabbed Erza's wrist. "What are you doing?!" Jellal asked, blushing. "Oh, I thought your tattoo was a fake one. Meh!" Erza replied, earning a shocked reaction from the rest. "H-hey! Jellal! I thought you were the quiet and expressionless one!" Gray asked, eyes widening. Jellal, on his own, realizing that, started blushing again and quickly let go of Erza's wrist.
"I don't know," Jellal frankly said, "This girl gets my game going." "W-what!" The strong-willed Erza also known as fierce president of the school who never stutters stuttered. What was the world turning into?!
"Whoa, whoa. There you have it, now stop." A black-haired guy with full of piercings waved them off and introduced himself, "I'm Gajeel, bunny girl."
Lucy coughed, "Bunny girl?! Not just anybody can give me nicknames, you know!" "Well, the way you talk is like a bunny. The way you smile is like a bunny. The way you walk is like a bun-" Gajeel started explaining the meaning behind the nickname 'Bunny Girl'. "Okay then, you can call me that if you really want to..." Lucy mentally slapped herself. She hated nicknames!
"So... That's all of you five. Jellal, Gajeel, Loke, Gray and Juvia. Right?" Lucy questioned. The five people nodded. "Lu-chan, I'm done washing the-" Levy said and bumped into Gajeel. She rubbed her forehead and got up. "Watch your way, shrimp." Gajeel said. "Hey, I'm not a shrimp!" Levy replied. "Your hair..." Gajeel pointed. Now that they think about it, it's really "shrimp-ish".
"HEY!" Levy angrily said, pulling Gajeel to a corner as he snickered. "Wow, Gajeel should be strong enough to fight back, but he isn't..." Natsu read his thoughts out loud.
They served drinks and had fun for a long time. "Alright. Fun time's over, we're closing the bar now." Lucy said. "Um... Lu-chan, Erza and I are getting a ride home from Jellal and Gajeel... so..." Levy softly whispered, so only Lucy could hear.
"Sigh, Levy-chan, you and Erza-san go first then..." Lucy replied, "Eh, you two owe me like a million, not one." "THANK YOU LU-CHAN!" Levy hugged Lucy tightly. "C-can't breathe..." Lucy wiggled out of her hug. "Okay, you better head out. He's waiting!" Lucy informed Levy, winking as she pointed at Gajeel who was calmly leaning against the door waiting for Levy. Levy nodded and ran towards Gajeel.
"Took you long enough, shrimp." Gajeel said. And there, Levy and Gajeel broke into a heated argument again.
Lucy locked the front door and washed the wine glasses. She placed the cups into their originated places. "I'm bored..." Lucy said, fishing her phone out of her pocket, continuing, "And sleepy..." Lucy yawned as she wiped the last wine glass clean and made sure all wine glasses sparkled
Lucy was in the midst of playing Crossy Road. She put her phone close to her head as she pressed on her phone, each press enabling a jump in the game.
She was so engrossed that she didn't realize it was 2 a.m. (A/N: That's Lucy for ya!) Not hearing the back door open, she was still playing Crossy Road. "Come on! Come on!" Lucy squinted her eyes, focusing on the game, trying to get a new high score.
Suddenly, a pair of warm hands touched her shoulders. "KYAAAAH! A RAPIST!" Lucy screamed, elbowing the person who crept up behind her.
"Ouch, Luce. It's just me." Natsu clutched his tummy and glared at Lucy. "Heh... um, oops." Lucy awkwardly laughed as she put her hand out and Natsu grabbed her hand, pulling her down.
"HEY! Stupid pinky, what are you plotting?!" Lucy tried to escape from Natsu's warm embrace, but he just hugged her even tighter from her response. "It's almost three. I was so worried..." Natsu spoke his heart out, "I don't know about you, but my heart beats faster when I'm with you and I thought you were in danger. I was so scared, I wanted to protect you. I felt like a million pieces shattered when I saw you injured..."
Little did Natsu know, Lucy's heart beat faster at his words. What is he making me feel... Lucy thought.
"Hey, pinky?" Lucy grabbed Natsu's arm. "Hm?" Natsu said, still in a hugging position. "Well, thanks for what you just said... Um, you can call me 'Luce' from now on. Okay?" Lucy said, turning behind to look at Natsu, not knowing he was just right behind her back.
She turned behind, and Natsu's and her lips touched. None of them moved, and their eyes were widening in shock. It took them a while to regain composure and they both backed away. What's this feeling? Lucy thought, clutching her heart. "S-sorry!" They both apologized at the same time.
Ba thump. Ba thump.
"Stop it!" She hissed loudly, clutching her heart tighter. "What's wrong, erm, Luce..." Natsu asked, slightly flustered about the kiss from earlier. "N-nothing... Gomenosai (sorry), uh, let's go... I guess..." Lucy stammered.
(A/N: Remember Lucy hates nicknames? And she actually let Natsu call her by one?! AWWWW~ KAWAII-NE!)
