i fear i've drank too much. i fear going back to that party the other end of the beach and she sees me like this. she will never speak to me again, but i have to speak to her. I am falling in love with her.
i swallow the last of what's left in my beer bottle. then out of anger and frustration i kick the bottle. it smashes off a rock and somehow it expresses how i feel right about now knowing i might have lost her.
I stumble my way back up to the end of the beach where the party is taking place. i'm too drunk to even know where i'm going right now. it's just a load of familiar yet unfamiliar faces.
Where is she
my thoughts come to my mouth and i scream "WHERE IS SHE"
some people turn to me but i take no notice as they stare as if i've lost my mind. trying to find her before was hard but now i can't even see straight.
Topper comes up to me and says "hey man, you okay?" i look at him blankly for a few seconds.
"where is she" i repeat.
"uh. she went that way with that Miles kid" he replies and before he could finish i start running in that direction. he calls after me as i continue running.
"dude seriously! you shouldn't go there!" i ignore him.
"Kaia! Kaia baby please!" Tears are now coming down my eyes
what if she kissed him. what if i see her kissing him. or worse.
"Kaia!!!" i scream again. i can see two shadows now.
"Kai? is that you?"
"Rafe- i-"
His arm is around her waist, as she turns to me i can see her face in the moonlight.
"what the fuck is going on here" my sadness suddenly turns to anger as i see them together.
She walks towards me but i ignore her and walk straight to him. my fist meets his nose and then my arm around his neck.
"RAFE! STOP"
"this? him? you kiss HIM?"
i know i should stop. but my anger won't let me. she kissed him.
"Rafe please! your killing him!" she pleaded. he is gasping for air under my arm.
"AND YOUR KILLING ME KAIA" i scream back at her. i regret it the second i realized but i cant undo it now.
i hate seeing her cry.
Miles is struggling for air now. for some reason that gives me satisfaction. who does he think he is. Kissing Kaia, my Kaia. Again.
I'm too drunk to even see Topper and Kelce run up and they pull me way. "i think it's time we get you home man" Kelce says dragging me away from Kaia.
I wish i killed that mother fucker.
