"hey Kaia, hows it living in figure eight with the Camerons?" "Oliver their house is like, 100 times bigger than the chateau. their hallway is bigger than my room and bathroom together"
Oliver is one of my best friends. we have been friends ever since we were 3. His dad and my dad were best friends.
"so wheres the rest of the crew?" i asked him as he started up his car. "everyone's already at the beach. waves are perfect for surfing today"
"i feel like i haven't seen everyone in so long, i've been so busy working and then moving into the Cameron's house"
we arrived at the beach, grabbing our boards from the back we kicked off our shoes and ran straight for the water, where we met the rest of my friends. Hazel, Leo and Miles.
"hey its the new kook. surprised you haven't decided to ditch us for some fancy kook friends" Miles teased. "Shut up Miles. Im still a pouge. We are only staying there till I turn 18."
When i got out of the water i noticed a familiar figure standing near where our stuff was left. A tall, blonde and muscular boy stood staring at me. Rafe. His friends appeared behind him and they put their stuff down right beside ours. "Is that Rafe Cameron at the beach?" Hazel turned to look at me. "Surprised he isn't at the country club" Milo snickered. "guys please don't start anything, remember i've to live with him"
Of course they didn't listen to me. One of Rafe's friends Topper made a snotty dig calling Miles a "dirty pouge and in need of a shower" "you forgot they cant afford running water" Kelce, Rafe's other friend chimed in. But Rafe didn't say anything. He was looking at me again.
A fight broke out between the five guys. Topper getting Oliver on the ground, he was choking him. "Topper stop! your choking him!" i screamed at him trying to push him off Ollie. I screamed again "TOPPER GET OFF HIM" but i wasn't strong enough to push him off. I looked up at Rafe for help. "Rafe please get him off him" he looked down at me almost as if with sympathy in his eyes. he pulled Topper off Ollie "what the hell Rafe" Topper looked at Rafe then followed Rafe's gaze to me "oh so you got a little crush on a pouge?" "shut up Topper" he picked up his stuff and walked away, Topper and Kelce followed him.
"what the hell was that Kaia" Leo looked at me with almost a disgust look in his eyes. "I dont know" i replied rapidly.
i really don't know what just happened. Did Rafe just help me? Is Topper right? does Rafe have feelings for me?
