It had been a few days now since things started with Rafe. Ward and Rose came back from their business trip. John B, Sarah and the rest of the pouges were still on some stupid treasure hunt. John told me about it and made me swear not to tell anyone, not even Rafe.
I told John about Rafe. He wasn't particularly happy with my choices but he said as long as i'm happy. Me and John tell each other everything. We have always been close.
Rafe hadn't told his dad and Rose about us yet. Ward had set rules for John B and Sarah when we moved into the house.
"No in each others rooms past 11pm. No in each other's rooms with the doors locked or closed. No showering together. No inappropriate behavior and no in each other's beds."
He never expected me and Rafe to be the ones breaking his rules.
I think maybe Rafe is embarrassed to tell his dad about me. about us. We had to sneak around the last 2 days.
"Rafe just tell them already. I hate sneaking around like this" I sat down on the end of his bed after Ward and Rose had just left to go to the country club.
"What exactly do i tell them. What exactly are we Kai?" he looked at me like i knew the answer. "well what do you want us to be Rafe?" I looked at him wanting to know his answer.
He stared at me blankly for a few seconds. For what almost felt like hours. Can he just answer me already.
Finally he opens his mouth. "I don't know- I-"
"you don't know what?" I can't believe this.
"Kaia. I just don't know if i'm good enough for you"
Bullshit. The same lame excuse every boy uses after they have used a girl. "whatever Rafe."
I stormed out of his room. I could hear him calling my name as i ran to my room and locked my door.
I can't believe he just said that.
