Carter-

After English class I head to my locker to grab my stuff for science. I have this science project I'm doing with this guy named Calum and I nervous because he hangs out with Cody. Anything that has to do with Cody is bad.

I open up my locker and take out my science stuff and I accidentally drop my science folder. I mumble a 'crap' and bend down to get it but I see a pair of muscular arms grab them before I can and I look up to see Calum holding it and smiling at me.

"Here you go." Calum hands me my science folder.

"Oh. Thank you. " I smile back at him and take my folder

"Do you want to walk to science class together or are you stopping somewhere else first? Calum asks still smiling.

"Sure, I'm not going anywhere else." I smile

"Okay. So are we still meeting at your house today for the science project or not?" He asks

"Oh crap, I forgot all about that!" I lie trying to sound cool about it.

"So is that a no?" Calum asks in all seriousness

"We're still on for tonight." I smile realizing how sexual it sounded

"Okay cool. We can just take my car and I can drive you if you want." He says walking in to the science class

"Okay, it's a date then" I laugh

"Wait. Not a date. I meant a gathering." I bite my lip and he laughs

"A gathering?" He laughs again

"Not a gathering, a get together for a science project." I say

"A get together for a science project." He repeats and us sitting down at the table

"Yeah."

"Okay then." He laughs

Our teacher tells us to get a science book and there's one book in the middle of us and we both go to get it and our hands touch and I pull my hand back real fast.

"Sorry. You can have it." I smile awkwardly

"No, it's okay." He says

So I take the book and put it in the middle for us to share.

"Here, we can share if you want."

"Okay thanks."

After the last bell with Calum we go to our lockers and head to his car. When we reach his car he opens the door for me. Cody never did that for me. When I get in I see Michael, Calum's friend run down the parking lot and I can't hear what there saying so I roll down the window.

"Hi Michael!" I yell and he waves at me.

"Hey Carter!" He yells smiling

"Do you need a ride? If that's okay with Carter." Calum turns around waiting for my answer

"Umm sure I don't mind."

"Ok. Yeah I'll get a ride." Michael says and jumps in the back.

" so, what are you guys doing again?" Michael asks
